Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Ning An had seen Derek fought in close combat twice, knowing very well that he couldn’t make a move or win if he stood before his opponent’s view. But Ning An was flexible, and he was slick as he moved around the arena to hide from his eyesight and avoided getting hit by Derek.
“You won’t score in the finals if you keep this up,” Derek smirked.
“Why?” Ning An was stunned to hear what he said for a moment when all of a sudden Derek threw him off his feet and pressed him to the ground, arms pressed on his back
The first thing Fu Ke saw upon entering the fighting arena was Derek pressing down Ning An on the floor. He sensed Derek’s oppressive pheromones surfing in the air and could recognize Ning An’s in a glance. “What are you doing?”
“Have you finished your training?” Derek dropped his hold around Ning An and helped him off from the ground, “I’m training to spar with others.”
“You shouldn’t release your pheromones when sparring with others,” Fu Ke pulled Derek aside to talk afterward. “Did you know that he’s a–” Fu Ke suddenly stopped talking. It was only his own speculations; but if it was true, the other party would definitely not want his secret to be known by others.
Derek was oblivious to Fu Ke’s odd behavior. “I know he is a Beta. Right, he didn’t react at all to my pheromone at all. Do you think he’s a hidden Alpha?”
Fu Ke gave Derek a pitiful look he’d give to idiots. His childhood friend had even suspected that an Omega could be a possible Alpha, would giving him a punch wake him up?
“No, the school’s doctors aren’t so easy to fool.” Fu Ke gave it a thought for a while and decided to dismiss the idea of throwing hands to Derek. He moved the towel around his neck to wipe off his sweat and looked at Derek hintingly towards Ning An and He Xin “You’re not going to introduce them to me?”
Is there something wrong with this dude? What do you think you’ve been doing in front of me? Do you think I haven’t seen you stealing glances at him several times? Derek grumbled in his heart. He opened his mouth to slam him with questions, but decided to drop the matter. Perhaps Fu Ke was just too shy to make the first approach.
He smiled before approaching Ning An and He Xin with Fu Ke for an introduction. “Sorry to have kept you guys waiting, this is my good friend Fu Ke. I believe you’ve heard his speech this morning during the welcoming ceremony.”
“I saw it! Fu Ke’s speech was really inspiring.” He Xin’s eyes were sparkling and he stretched out his hand to Fu Ke. “Hello, my name is He Xin.”
Fu Ke nodded in acknowledgment and returned the handshake, “Nice to meet you.”
“Hello, I’m Ning An. I’m glad to meet you.” Ning An didn’t have much impression from Fu Ke’s speech from this morning, and he extended his hand after He Xin.
“Hello.” Fu Ke just shook his hand lightly and couldn’t help but to frown again. The fine-skinned and delicate hand was clearly the hands of a spoiled young master.
“Derek, why did you just say that I wouldn’t be able to score my finals like this? But I completely avoided all your attacks.”
“Dodging is also a skill but if you blindly dodge the attacks for close combat, this course loses its significance. Won’t it? You should not only dodge your opponent’s attacks, but you also need to give effective counterattacks so that you can get a high score for this course.” Derek gave Ning An a skeptical look to make sure he was really listening. “How many points do you want to get in this course?”
“Of course, the higher the better. I want to be the first in the exam.” Ning An didn’t think there was any problem with him saying this. He Xin also felt that it was great that Ning An had a fighting spirit. However, the ideas that Derek and Fu Ke had in mind were different; getting a first-place like this just seemed impossible.
“Well He Xin, what is your goal for this course?” Derek tried not to let his doubts show.
“I also think that the higher the grade, the better…” He Xin has always been a darling back in his hometown. Naturally, he also wanted to get a good grade to make his parents happy.
“Fighting skills will be taught by your instructors in class. If you don’t understand, you can ask me again. After all, we have an agreement.” Derek winked at Ning An. “But I suggest you start with basic exercises. No matter how good your skills are, you must have a good physical foundation to work them out. ”
“I know, thank you. “Ning An also wanted to ask what to train next when he heard Fu Ke spoke up.
“You will be busy since our classes will be starting tomorrow. You might as well go back to rest first.”
“Yes, you guys should add each other as terminal buddies. If I couldn’t show up someday, you can find him.” Derek sold Fu Ke off with a grin. This, he doesn’t understand. Since they have already met and known each other, they can move on and start exchanging contact numbers. Fu Ke was the opposite, Derek had never even seen the guy making the initiative to make new friends or add others online. He figured Fu Ke probably doesn’t even have anyone other than his family and teachers in his terminal friend list. He can’t go on like this, he needs to expand his social circle!
Mother hen Derek Liszt was just worried about his baby Fu Ke.
Fu Ke didn’t seem very happy with the suggestion, but he still took the initiative to add two people into his terminal friend list. “Right, which class are you guys in?”
“We are in class six.” He Xin happily accepted Fu Ke’s friend request on his terminal. “Instructor Qin is a very interesting teacher.”
“Qin Zhao.” Fu Ke and Derek glanced at each other, the expressions on their faces were slightly awkward, “Well, you… Have you heard of anything about him?”
“If you’re talking about the scandal, we already know about it.” From the duo’s expressions, Ning An can see that they seemed to be wanting to say something. They arrived from families with well known military background, so it was only natural that they would know more of this matter. “Is there something wrong?”
“Well, can’t you always believe rumor right?” Derek looked away.
Fu Ke looked at Ning An earnestly, “But you still have to be careful.”
“Alright, we’ll keep our mind to it. Thank you today.” Ning An did not have the gossiping heart that Chen Siyu has. Seeing that the two were unwilling to discuss the matter in details, they dropped the matter and didn’t intend to continue the conversation any further. “We’re going back to our dormitory first, goodbye.”
As soon as he heard Ning An answered him dismissively, Fu Ke felt that Ning An didn’t fully understand his intention. He frowned, thinking of finding another time to remind him again of his matter.
“Why do you frown all the time? Do you really want to have a wrinkly forehead at an early age?” his childhood friend didn’t like to laugh and he often frowned while growing up together. Derek thought Fu Ke was too gloomy.
“… It’s nothing.” Fu Ke had never paid any attention to himself, it was already a subconscious action. “Right, what agreement did you make with him?”
“This– is a secret!” Derek showed a charming smile that made Fu Ke almost wanted to beat him up, “It has something to do with my marriage life.”
In fact, Derek had only learned from chatting with Ning An he has a younger sister who was studying at the Omega Art Institute, and wanted to ask him to help inquire about the students of the college. Although he knew that Fu Ke’s sister was also in the same college, but he was embarrassed to ask him since they are familiar with each other. But listening to his crap, Fu Ke’s ears took an entirely different meaning.
Did Derek find out that Ning An was Omega?
As soon as the idea came out, Fu Ke dismissed his thought immediately According to Derek’s character, that would definitely not be the case. He would definitely go inform their instructors. Was it a private deal? The more Fu Ke thought of it, the more he developed it into conspiracy theory. He quickly dismissed all thoughts.
“Fu, you don’t look so good. Did you exercise too much?” Fu Ke face was dark as he thought about the deal. Derek thought he was feeling unwell.
“I’m alright.” Fu Ke avoided Derek’s hand and reached over his head. At the same time, the terminal rang a received a message from Ning An.
: “Hello, classmate Fu. I have a roommate who worships you very much. Can you give him your contact information?” It seemed that he was being too serious, Ning An then added a tangled looking bunny emoji at the end of his text.
Derek saw the text and chuckled, “Pft, a hare… haha, give it to him.”
Fu Ke gave him a look and looked at the text, “Yes.”
After he finished typing, Fuke waited until Derek got distracted from his terminal and sent another text: “Don’t call me classmate Fu, just Fu Ke is good.”
