1189 Red Paint
The bright red paint splattered all over the ground and looked especially dazzling on the black tar road. Many of them got red paint on their shoes. It was going to be especially difficult to wash the paint out!
The patrol team members standing at the back hurriedly went to the Xia family residence to look for Luo Yu to come and uphold justice. They could not resolve this matter on their own. After all, these people were the Xia family’s in-laws. If any of them got hurt and the Xia family came to demand an explanation, they would not be able to answer to the Xia family!
They also wanted to protect their jobs.
“Brother Xiao An! Bad news! Something big has happened!” The patrol team members ran to the Xia family residence in a panic and yelled out.
Xiao An had gone out on duty with some others today. Currently, Xiao An was equivalent to Luo Yu’s deputy. When Luo Yu was not around, everyone had to take instructions from Xiao An.
“What’s the matter? Why are you so flustered?” Luo Yu said with a frown.
The patrol team at the entrance of this neighborhood was made up of patrolmen sent by the various families to stand guard. After all, the people living here were either government officials or military cadres. The houses here were directly allocated to them by the nation and private transactions were not allowed, so security was very tight here.
The patrol team did not know how to deal with visiting relatives like the Tan family. Under normal circumstances, they would first call the family to verify the identities of the visitors and then get a member of the family to come and sign off after confirming that there were no mistakes. Then, they would drive the visitors in to ensure that the visitors did not enter other families’ courtyards.
Everyone else had to have a pass to enter. No one was allowed to enter or leave as they pleased.
“The person who was dragged out yesterday came back with two men and even brought paint. Come and take a look. We can’t hold on anymore!” a patrol team member said anxiously.
Luo Yu immediately changed into his uniform and went to the entrance of the neighborhood. At this moment, Jiang Yi was scolding the patrol team. She did not care if they knew her or not. She scolded anyone who made eye contact with her.
“What are you doing! Who is this! Why haven’t you called the police? Have you forgotten what I told you yesterday?” Luo Yu said sternly to the patrol team member with him.
“I’m sorry! It’s our negligence!” the patrol team member shouted.
Jiang Yi immediately rushed to Luo Yu’s side and shouted, “I know you’re that lackey of the Xia family! The Xia family must have asked you to bring us in! Hmph! I just know you people are the type who bully the weak and fear the strong! The Xia family is still quite sensible after all! Quickly lead the way. Don’t waste my time anymore.”
“Of course not. I’m here to advise you to go home quickly. Even if you die at the door, we won’t let you in,” Luo Yu said impatiently.
At this moment, Luo Yu was only focused with the paint on the ground. He did not know how long it was going to take them to clean up the red paint on the ground! Even if every member of his entire team scrubbed the ground with brushes, they might not be able to clean up the mess. The thought of this gave him a headache.
“You’re talking nonsense! Get Xia Wen to come and see me personally! If Xia Wen doesn’t come and see me today! I’ll stay here and not leave!” Jiang Yi immediately sat down on the ground. It was useless no matter who grabbed and pulled her. She looked like she was going all out.
Luo Yu had no choice but to call the nearby police station and ask them to quickly send someone to arrest the Tan family members and lock them up for a few days. Only then would the patrol team and the guard team be able to have a break and not have to deal with this type of family affairs every day.
When Jiang Yi saw Luo Yu calling the police, she used her last resort again. The patrol team members looked at Jiang Yi with interest as she wept and threw a tantrum. It was even better than watching a play!
Most of them were married with children. Their wives were from good and educated families and their children were filial to them. They did not know what a shrew was and what an unreasonable in-law was. They could only garner a general idea from their neighbors. What they witnessed now made them realize that they were still not imaginative enough.
The things that Jiang Yi said and did were definitely not things that any troublemaker relative could do. She was one of the most vicious characters in the capital. If not for the Xia family preventing anyone from publicizing this matter, the reporters from the television station would probably have clogged up the entrance of the neighborhood by now.
They definitely liked such great news material!
