Chapter 30: Chapter 30 Looking for Trouble
Editor: Exodus Tales
Ever since that day, Su Han had been residing in the Su Family.
He had informed the elders not to divulge the matter concerning the twenty meridians.
The latter were well aware that this was a matter of utmost importance; any mishap and they simply could not afford the consequences.
…
In the blink of an eye, another month had passed.
During this month, Su Han had stayed in his room, using those pills for cultivation.
If it were any other in the Dragon Vein Realm, refining a single High-Grade Pill could take days, or even with their strength of Dragon Vein, they might fail to refine High-Grade Pills.
However, for Su Han, in the span of one month, he had devoured and refined hundreds of Ancient Spirit Pills.
Only the Blood Pills were saved by Su Han for use during his breakthrough to the Dragon Blood Realm.
Previously, Su Han had already opened thirty-two meridians, and after refining these hundreds of Ancient Spirit Pills, his strength had undergone an earth-shattering transformation.
However, the more pills one refines, the less effective they become.
By now, the effects of the Ancient Spirit Pills on Su Han were almost negligible.
“Perhaps the Blood Pills could help me open some more Dragon Veins, but refining Blood Pills now would reduce their efficacy; it’s best to use them when entering the Dragon Blood Realm,” he thought.
Su Han walked out of his room, the warm sunlight fell on him, and he couldn’t help but stretch lazily.
“Let’s refine some other pills first, I wonder what materials the Xiao Family might have,” Su Han murmured.
“Young Master Hann, you have left seclusion?”
Hu Feng saw Su Han walking out of the room and rushed over quickly.
Pang Qing and Zhang Hai had been residing in the guest elder accommodations, but he had always stayed guarding Su Han.
“Yes.”
Su Han nodded slightly.
“Young Master Hann, in this past month, Lian Yuze has come looking for you no less than five times, each time looking very agitated, but I sent him away every time,” Hu Feng said.
“Who is Lian Yuze?” Su Han asked, puzzled.
“He’s the son of Lian Chong, a guest elder of the Xiao Family. Lian Chong holds a very high position among the many guest elders in the Xiao Family, with a cultivation base in the late stage of the Dragon Spirit Realm, only below Xiao Hengshan,” Hu Feng explained.
“What does he want with me?” Su Han frowned.
“It seems to be because of… the Second Miss of the Xiao Family,” Hu Feng said.
“Oh?”
Su Han realized and smiled, “That makes sense. Xiao Yuran is exceptionally beautiful and has a naive and lively personality, indeed endearing.”
“But he shouldn’t be looking for you! If Lian Yuze really has the ability, he should pursue the Second Miss himself, why bother you?” Hu Feng said contemptuously.
“Probably trying to intimidate me,” Su Han said with a slight shake of his head, instructing, “You should continue your cultivation, I’ll head over to the Xiao Family’s storeroom to find some materials.”
“Yes,” Hu Feng agreed.
“Stop right there!”
However, just as Su Han was about to head to the storeroom, a cold shout suddenly rang out.
Su Han paused mid-step and turned to look, seeing several people approaching from not far away, led by a young man in a blue robe. His appearance was decent, but his rather harsh facial features wore a shade of gloom at the moment.
“Young Master Hann, that’s Lian Yuze,” Hu Feng whispered.
Su Han nodded and, without paying any heed, continued on his way.
“I told you to stop!”
Seeing Su Han daring to ignore him, Lian Yuze immediately blocked Su Han’s path, enraged.
“Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear me tell you to stop?” Lian Yuze coldly huffed.
Su Han slightly raised his eyes, “Are you talking to me?”
“If not you, then who? Pretending to be the big bad wolf around here?” A cold light flashed in Lian Yuze’s eyes.
“I haven’t provoked you, have I?” Su Han frowned.
“You haven’t provoked me, but you’ve provoked someone you shouldn’t have!”
“Oh? Who have I provoked? Let’s hear it.” Su Han showed a genuinely interested expression.
“Xiao Yuran!”
Lian Yuze directly said, “Su Han, I hope you understand your position. You live in Xiao Family’s house, eat Xiao Family’s food, use Xiao Family’s resources, and even the life you had initially was saved by Xiao Family. Have you ever thought what makes you entitled to make Xiao Family do all these for you? Although Xiao Yuran doesn’t have the talents of the Eldest Miss, she’s still not someone you can covet. You better give up this idea!”
“I remember your surname is Lian, right?” Su Han suddenly said.
Lian Yuze retorted, “Yes, my surname is Lian, what about it?”
“Then why do you keep saying ‘my Xiao Family’ as if you’re embarrassed? It’s as if you’re really one of the Xiao Family,” Su Han shrugged.
“How dare you!”
Lian Yuze coldly huffed, “You dare speak to me like this?”
“Lian Yuze, you dare speak to my husband like that?”
Just then, Xiao Yuran’s lively voice rang out.
Lian Yuze’s expression changed slightly, and he threatened in a low voice, “Su Han, I’m just giving you a warning this time. If you keep pestering Yuran, I will make sure you regret it!”
“Get lost,” Su Han said impatiently.
“You!”
Lian Yuze was furious, but in front of Xiao Yuran, he dared not be too presumptuous.
“Su Han, you’re really something, just you wait!”
As his words fell, Lian Yuze turned around and led his people away.
“Little Su Han, are you alright? They didn’t do anything to you, did they?” Xiao Yuran walked up to Su Han and asked with concern.
“Just them?” Su Han shook his head disdainfully.
“Hehe, I knew my husband would be amazing!” Xiao Yuran shook her little head.
“Stop calling me husband, I haven’t agreed to marry you yet,” Su Han said helplessly.
Xiao Yuran tilted her little head back, “Whether you agree or not, you are still my husband.”
“Really, just like your sister, so domineering.”
Su Han sighed and then asked, “Those four items I asked you to find, did you find them?”
“I only found that Flower of the Demon Spirit, I couldn’t find the other three. I asked everyone, and they hadn’t even heard of them. What are these things you’re making me look for!” Xiao Yuran said despondently.
“You found the Flower of the Demon Spirit?” Su Han’s eyes lit up.
He had only mentioned it to Xiao Yuran before, not really expecting her to find it, given that these four items were too precious and rare across the Dragon Martial Continent.
“Even if it’s found, it’s not mine,”
Xiao Yuran pouted, “My father heard from the Myriad Treasures Pavilion that in three months, there would be an auction there, and the highlight item would be this Flower of the Demon Spirit. The Pavilion Master said that if someone wants to bid on this flower, they must prepare… at least ten million gold coins.”
“Ten million, the Xiao Family should be able to afford it, right?” Su Han smiled.
“You’re kidding! Before my sister joined the Cold Cloud Sect, Xiao Family’s profit was only around 500,000 to 600,000 a year. Ten million is equivalent to twenty years of income for the Xiao Family!”
Xiao Yuran shook her little head, “Firstly, disregarding whether the Xiao Family has that much money, even if it does, my father would never buy the Flower of the Demon Spirit. Even if he bought it, it’s only one of the four items. If the other three items are this expensive too, the family can’t afford it.”
“The most important reason is that your father is afraid I’m deceiving you, right?” Su Han laughed.
