Chapter 139 Getting Rejected Ruthlessly
She had never felt such strong feelings for a man before. At this moment, there was only one thought in Angela’s mind. She wanted this man to belong to her, and she wanted to be his girlfriend!
This feeling was unprecedentedly strong, and it was even stronger than when she was trying to get into Ivy University.
Because of her excitement, Angela’s heart was beating so fast that it almost broke out of her chest.
Angela bit her lower lip and made up her mind. She knew that her eyes were the most beautiful part of her face and was very good at expressing her emotions with her eyes. At this moment, her large watery eyes were filled with shyness and timidity. She looked at Bevis carefully and said, “My leg seems to be injured and it’s a little difficult for me to move. Can you help me to the infirmary?”.
Her eyes were as cute as a fawn’s. She practiced it countless times in the mirror and was confident that Bevis would never reject her request. However, she did not expect that Asina would come over and cause trouble.
“I can help you to the infirmary. This gentleman is still holding a sunflower. I think he wants to find his girlfriend. Let’s not waste his time. Let’s go.”
Asina said this as she hooked her arm through Angela’s. Without giving Angela a chance to reject, she was about to drag her to the infirmary.
Angela still had not gotten Bevis’s contact number and did not even know his name, so she wouldn’t possibly leave like that. Angela used all her might to remain on the spot so that Asina could not move her.
She did not expect Angela to resist her so fiercely. Without knowing, Asina really let Angela stay.
Angela suppressed her anger and secretly glared at Asina. After explaining, she looked at Bevis for help.
“Sir, can I trouble you to take me to the infirmary?”
After saying that, Angela stuck her tongue out in embarrassment and lowered her head like a child who had done something wrong.
Angela was confident that Bevis wouldn’t reject her cuteness.
However, Bevis looked troubled. His family ran a casino and alcohol business, and in that kind of environment, he had seen all kinds of women.
He was already famous for being a Casanova in New York City at such a young age.
He helped her up from the ground, but that did not mean that he wanted to walk into her trap and become her prey.
Moreover, Angela was not his type at all. If he really wanted to pursue her, he would rather pursue Asina, who was standing beside her.
Angela looked too young. Bevis thought that he was messing around with an underaged girl, which made him feel inexplicably bad. “I’m sorry, but like what the lady said, I’m in a hurry to see someone important to me. I’m afraid I won’t have time to send you to the infirmary.”
“If you need help, I can get someone to take you there,” Bevis said as his eyes started to dart around. It seemed like he was planning to find a random passerby on campus to send Angela to the infirmary.
The development of the matter was completely different from what Angela expected, making her red face instantly pale.
Looking at Bevis’s apologetic gaze, Angela’s lips trembled. She looked like she was about to cry at any moment.
Bevis wanted to find someone to take over Angela, but he was so unlucky that there was no one on this long and wide road.
Seeing that things were about to turn into a stalemate, Asina stood up.
“Angela, come on, I go to gym every day, so it’s not a problem for me to carry someone like you to the infirmary.”
Asina turned to Bevis and said, “Sir, I’m Angela’s friend. Don’t worry, leave her to me. I’ll take her to the infirmary for treatment. Go ahead and don’t make your friend wait too long.”
Hearing that someone was willing to help Angela, Bevis smiled gratefully. “That’s great. In that case, I’ll get going.”
With that, Bevis left.
