Jocelyn became excited at the thought that Aren saved her.
At this moment, Jocelyn felt a surge of emotions welling up in her heart, making her want to say something or do something to suppress the surge of emotions.
Forgetting what Aren and the doctors just told her, Jocelyn opened her mouth in an attempt to say, “Thank you.”
Aren shifted his gaze to her lips, which were wet from the water. Watching Jocelyn as her mouth moved silently, although Aren heard no sound, his heart skipped a beat.
By the time Aren realized what he was doing, he had already pressed Jocelyn onto the bed. His tongue was wandering around and intruding Jocelyn’s mouth.
Aren did not know what was wrong with him. When he saw Jocelyn, he would easily lose control of himself and turn into an irrational beast. All he could think of was to be over her body, violate her, and look at her as she cried.
He had never been tormented by this thought in the past 20 years. At this moment, Aren felt that he no longer looked like him, but he did not hate this feeling. Instead, he quite enjoyed it.
Looking at Jocelyn’s shocked gaze, Aren suddenly remembered that the two of them were still in a cold war. However, the next moment, when that soft and smooth tongue was sucked into his mouth, Aren forgot all about it.
But the kiss didn’t last very long. When Jocelyn pounded on his chest with her hands, Aren stopped.
Looking at Jocelyn’s lips getting moist and red from his kiss, Aren reached out and gently stroked Jocelyn’s face like an evil dragon caressing a treasure that he had lost and regained.
Only after that passionate kiss and the burning sensation brought by the collision of their lips and teeth did Aren confirm once again that Jocelyn was still alive.
Aren thought that he probably liked Jocelyn. Otherwise, why would he be so sad when he found out about Jocelyn’s death?
However, Aren could not figure out when he started to like Jocelyn, but the answer was not important to him. Since he liked her, he would keep her with him.
Aren rubbed his thumb on Jocelyn’s lips for a moment. When Jocelyn frowned and was about to push it away, he leaned down and pecked her on the lips.
This kiss was much gentler than the one before. Jocelyn was stunned, and her heart was pounding violently.
Jocelyn seemed to have forgotten that she could breathe. Her face was so red that she looked like she might faint at any moment.
Although Jocelyn looked very cute like this, Aren did not want to see Jocelyn faint in front of him again, because it would remind him of when Jocelyn was about to be strangled to death by Miles. That scene made Aren feel uncomfortable. “You can breathe.”
Immediately, Jocelyn took in two deep breaths. Fresh air filled up Jocelyn’s body, making the abnormal redness on her face disappear instantly. At the same time, Jocelyn regained her rationality.
Embarrassed, Jocelyn covered her head with the blanket, trying to trick herself into thinking that nothing had happened.
However, Jocelyn’s face was getting hotter and hotter under the blanket, and her eyes were sparkling in the darkness. She couldn’t help but touch her lips that had been kissed by Aren. Then, as if she was scalded by something hot, she quickly moved her fingers away.
Jocelyn couldn’t think straight. Her gut feeling told her that Aren might have a feeling for her. However, her rationality was warning her not to have such unrealistic thoughts. An outstanding person like Aren would never be with an ordinary person like her, and it was also impossible for him to like an ordinary person like her.
The entanglement of emotions and rationality made Joclyn feel frustrated. They were like angels and demons arguing in Jocelyn’s mind.
Aren could not see Jocelyn’s face through the blanket, but knowing that Jocelyn was just being shy, he didn’t mind.
He still reached out and gently tugged at Jocelyn’s blanket. “Don’t stay under the blanket for too long. You need to get some fresh air.”.
