Chapter 403: The Man-Eating Brown Bear
John was one of the most powerful men in Hillford. He was in charge of Hillford’s economy, and his subordinates were extremely powerful. It would be an honor for him to serve under him.
However…
John said directly, “If you’re still alive, you should turn yourself in!”
Jerry was a murderous thug, and he did not deserve to serve under him. The prison was where he belonged, and he had to pay for what he had done.
He was speechless.
Since John looked down on him, Jerry decided to shut up.
If he could really live, he would not go to prison. He wanted to go to Murica.
Jerry suddenly thought it through! He fell off the cliff and was in so much pain that he could not move. He could only lie in the rain.
If he could turn the situation around and survive this time, he would not kill like before, and he would not pursue those things that were not worth mentioning.
In fact, there was something more important.
She had been waiting for him, and he wanted to find her!
Roar!
The brown bear’s cry resounded at the bottom of the cliff.
It had just come out of the cave to look for food. Fortunately, it encountered food. It was John, who was standing not far away from it, and Jerry, who was lying on the wooden board.
“John, what is that cry?”Jerry asked.
His voice was a little nervous because he heard what the voice sounded like.
Sure enough, John told him, “A bear!”
As he said this, John continued, “Didn’t you say that wild beasts won’t eat you? You should be able to control this brown bear, right?”
However, the truth was that he could not.
Although Jerry could control some wild beasts with his whistle, brown bears were not one of them.
The reason was that brown bears were rumored to be blind bears, carnivores, and ferocious. They liked to live in the jungle at the bottom of cliffs, and their IQ was very low.
Jerry had never interacted with brown bears when he was young.
Brown Bears would definitely not listen to his whistle!
Knowing the situation, John immediately frowned.
If Jerry had no way to get this huge brown bear to leave, it would be a disaster for the two of them. One of them had a broken leg, and the other could not move at all.
It would really be a disaster!
Jerry knew this very well.
So he took out a porcelain bottle from his pocket and raised his hand to pass it to John. “This is a pill passed down from my ancestors. One pill can cure all poisons.”
“John, if I die, there’s no point in keeping this.”
“Eat this. If you can survive the bear’s pursuit, you’ll still be alive even if you run into snakes, insects, and poisonous ants.” John was stunned.
He looked at Jerry. “So?”
Jerry said, “I’ll give you this pill as a favor. Can you do me a favor?”
John said, “Tell me.”
“In the south of Murica, there is a village called Solime where a woman named Victoria Ballard lives.”
“I owe her a lot!”
“I only hope that you can take out the money that I put in the safe in the Murica National Bank and give it to her. Tell her to live well.”
He paused.
Tears fell from Jerry’s eyes that he could no longer see.
As if he had already decided to die, he continued to tell John, “If it is still possible, please help me tell her that I am sorry.”
“Also, tell her that if there’s an afterlife, I’ll definitely repay the favor I owe her!”
“Okay!”
John agreed to this matter.
He took Jerry’s pill and swallowed it in one gulp.
If he could escape the brown bear’s hunt this time, he would definitely help Jerry accomplish what he had just said.
But could he live?
Just as John was thinking about it, Jerry said, “John, you’re a man of your word. I believe you can help me do it.”
He said, “Thank you.”
Then, unable to move at all, Jerry, who could only lie on the wooden board, suddenly used all his strength to roll off the wooden board.
At the same time.
Jerry also told John, “Stand still and don’t move! A stupid thing like the brown bear will not attack something already dead in its eyes.”
“Wait a moment, then run!”
John understood what Jerry meant.
He saw Jerry rolling on the ground a few times. He waved his hands and shouted loudly, “Big stupid bear, come to me!”
The brown bear roared angrily and rushed toward Jerry. It tore off a large piece of meat from Jerry’s body and put it in its mouth to chew.
John instinctively wanted to help.
He had a dagger in his hand. Although he was covered in wounds, he might not necessarily be a match for this stupid big brown bear.
Jerry, who had two pieces of flesh torn off by the brown bear, was in so much pain that he broke out in a cold sweat. He did not even have time to cry out in pain. He only used his remaining strength to use his hand to grab the brown bear’s mouth with all his strength.
He shouted at John, “John, hurry up and leave! Don’t let me die in vain!”
“Don’t forget everything I entrusted to you. You must help me!”
The big brown bear’s mouth was clamped shut, and it became even angrier. Its two powerful claws slapped at Jerry’s body.
In just a split second, Jerry was smashed into a bloody mess by the big brown bear.
Every time the big brown bear slapped him, Jerry spat out a mouthful of blood.
When the big brown bear slapped Jerry’s head ruthlessly, he smashed into the soil!
Hearing Jerry shouting for him to leave, John told Jerry, “I said I would keep you alive, so I will keep you alive!”
He still held the dagger and rushed towards the big brown bear and Jerry with his cane.
When the big brown bear slapped Jerry again, John rushed over. He wanted to cut the big brown bear’s throat with the dagger in his hand.
As long as he could succeed, he could take John’s life.
Although the bear was big and heavy, its reaction was very quick! Sensing danger, the bear moved away, sensing John was about to attack its neck.
The bear raised his paw, slapping John with all his might. With just one swipe, John was sent flying.
John was sent flying a few meters before he crashed into a thick tree trunk..
