Chapter 404: John’s Narrow Escape
He fell to the ground.
John spat out a mouthful of blood. Although he did not want to lose consciousness at this moment, he couldn’t help but lose consciousness when his head hit a tree.
Jerry was utterly paralyzed by the big brown bear.
He was dead.
Even though he was already dead, his hands held the bear’s mouth.
What was the point?
The bear only used a little strength and broke Jerry’s arms. Then, it bit off pieces of Jerry’s flesh.
Soon, all that was left of Jerry was a pair of feet.
At this time, the bear finally stopped eating. It was very lazy, and after it was full, it wanted to go back to the cave and have a good sleep.
So, the lazy big brown bear turned around and left, leaving Jerry, who was left with only a pair of feet, and the unconscious John in the distance.
A few more hours passed. John was still unconscious, lying on the ground.
A wild fox came over and took Jerry’s feet, which the big brown bear left.
Other wild beasts also smelled the smell of blood and came over.
They did not dare to get close to John because before these wild beasts came over, some poisonous ants that lived nearby had already discovered John.
These poisonous ants were much bigger than ordinary ants.
Although they were smaller than the wild beasts, they were poisonous! Moreover, they were highly poisonous. These wild beasts that lived at the bottom of the cliff did not dare to offend them.
When Shane and Karl brought people over, they saw that a large group of poisonous ants was carrying John.
“Oh my goodness!”
Everyone looked at the scene in front of them in shock.
Fortunately, when they learned that John had fallen to the bottom of the cliff, Karl had meticulously prepared everything. Among the people that he brought with him was a very well-known doctor.
Seeing that Karl and the bodyguards wanted to rush over and snatch John from the hands of those ants, the doctor immediately shouted, “Wait!” Karl looked at the doctor.
The doctor said, “These ants are poisonous. Once they bite you, you are good as dead!”
Karl immediately became anxious. “What should we do then?”
He was very worried about John’s condition. “These poisonous ants are dragging away Mr. Lambert. Who knows how many bites he’s had?”
“Mr. Lambert isn’t poisoned, is he?”
At this moment, Shane said, “I’ll go over!”
He walked toward John and told everyone, “My body is special. Normal poisons are useless against me.”
“No matter how powerful the poison is, it won’t kill me immediately.”
That was what he said.
However, there were too many poisonous ants.
There were so many of them that they could carry a human. It was not something that Shane could do easily.
If Shane really did that, it would only anger these ants.
“Wait!”
The doctor called Shane to halt.
Then, he told Shane and Karl, “n places with these poisonous ants, there must be herbs that they fear and don’t like that can remove the poison.”
“Hurry up and look for it. See if there’s any place that absolutely doesn’t have these poisonous ants!”
“Inform me immediately after you find it. I’ll identify it.”
Karl ordered, “Hurry up and look for it!”
All the bodyguards started to move. Very quickly, they found the herbs that the doctor mentioned.
The doctor pulled out a large pile of it and threw it at Karl and the bodyguards. They took the herbs with them and ran toward the poisonous ants that were still carrying John. The poisonous ants abandoned John and left because of the herbs in their hands.
The doctor checked.
Fortunately, he said, “That’s great. Mr. Lambert is still alive!”
John was sent to the Hillford hospital.
He had eaten the antidote pill that Jerry gave him. Although the poisonous ants had bitten him, he was not poisoned.
He had been unconscious because of the injuries on his body. His legs were inflamed, and he had a high fever. Also, he had been hit on the head during the attack.
John had been unconscious for three days.
Kathleen and the twins were crying hysterically when they saw John’s body covered in blood. His clothes were torn and tattered. The poisonous ants had bitten his body until no skin could be seen.
They were very worried, afraid that John would not be saved.
Kathleen was crying uncontrollably as she begged the doctor, “I beg you, no matter what, you must save his life!”
“My blood can detoxify the poison!”
“As long as it can save his life, I’m willing to exchange my blood! Give him all of my blood, I just want him to live!”
The doctor comforted him and told Kathleen the truth, “Although Mr. Lambert’s condition is very serious, it’s still far from the situation where he needs to exchange his blood with yours.” “Previously, you said that he was poisoned, and Mr. Lambert was bitten so badly by poisonous ants. Logically speaking, he should have been a corpse a long time ago!”
“Since Mr. Lambert is still alive now, it proves that he ate something that can detoxify the poison…”
The doctor told Kathleen and the twins not to be too afraid. When they returned to the Hillford hospital, they would immediately perform a detailed examination on John, and they would definitely save his life.
Then, they arrived at the hospital, and the results of the examination were out soon after.
The doctor told Kathleen, “Although Mr. Lambert had been poisoned before, and he was bitten by poisonous ants, we have tested and found that Mr. Lambert does not have any poison in his system. ”
“We can now confirm that he must have taken the antidote pill to remove the poison from his body and prevent the poison from invading his body…”
John was not in any danger. He had suffered serious internal injuries and leg injuries.
The prosthetic leg that he had lost could not be found. He still needed to wait for a new prosthetic leg.
After the surgery, John was unconscious for three days before he woke up. When he saw Kathleen and the twins guarding his hospital bed, he felt as if he had woken up in an alternate universe.
With a smile on his lips, John said weakly, “Kathy, I’m still alive, right? I can see you, and I’m not dreaming?”
“I am not dead?”
Kathleen said, “Well, you’re not dead!”
It’s just that as soon as she opened her mouth, she could not help but cry again.
Looking at John, who had been in a coma for three days, she sobbed, “Do you know you almost scared me to death?”
She was really almost scared to death!
She had thought that this man had disappointed her too many times and made her heart cold too many times. She could slowly put it down and have nothing to do with him anymore..
