Just as the two of them were about to leave the mall, Su Yanxi’s phone suddenly rang and there was no caller ID. The number of times that this number had called her in the past two years could be counted on one hand, but she remembered it clearly.
“Who is it? Your husband? Why isn’t it showing?” Lian Qingyan saw that Su Yanxi was staring at the phone screen for a long time and did not pick up, so she curiously came over to take a look.
Su Yanxi gently swiped the answer button and placed it by her ear when the ringtone was about to end. She murmured softly, “Hello.”
“Where are you?” The man’s familiar deep voice entered her ears along with the sound of the vibration, making him appear especially charming.
“The New Trade Mall.”
As soon as Su Yanxi said those words, she heard the man grunt before hanging up. Su Yanxi was not particularly emotional about it. After taking into account the few times he had called her in the past, she even felt that it was normal.
Lian Qingyan, who was watching by the side, looked at her in astonishment. Then, she shook her head and exclaimed, “Wow! The two of you didn’t even talk for more than ten seconds! You’re so awesome!”
Su Yanxi put away her phone and asked calmly, “What else do you want? How long so you expect us to talk on the phone?”
“Forget it! Talking on the phone for a long time is something young couples do. Old aunties like us don’t have much hope for that.” Lian Qingyan let out a long sigh and walked out of the mall. She looked sideways and asked, “What did your husband say? Is he coming over?”
“More or less so!”
“What do you mean by more or less so?”
“He asked for the address and then hung up.”
“Tsk tsk! How boring. If Lu Jingyan hadn’t married you, I think he would spend his whole life alone.” Lian Qingyan threw the shopping bag in her hand into her car and leaned against the car door leisurely. She looked at the neon lights that were gradually lighting up the street, “It’s quite cold tonight. Aren’t you cold wearing that?”
“I’m fine.”
The two of them chatted for another ten minutes or so before a black Bentley entered their field of vision and stopped at the empty car park lot beside them. The car door opened and a man in a neat suit and leather shoes walked to them with a cold aura. He glanced at them indifferently, “Let’s go!”
Su Yanxi and Lian Qingyan looked at each other and saw the man walking towards the western restaurant diagonally opposite.
Just as Su Yanxi was about to follow him, Lian Qingyan suddenly tugged at her clothes. “Isn’t your husband going to ask for our opinion? For example, what do we want to eat? What do we not like to eat?”
“Obviously, he doesn’t have such thoughts. Don’t count on him for that.” Su Yanxi looked at Lian Qingyan in amusement and said softly, “You won’t be able to see such gentlemanly actions from Lu Jingyan even if you die.”
Lian Qingyan pursed her lips and couldn’t help complaining, “I suddenly realized that apart from having a good look and a good job, your husband doesn’t have any other merits.”
“Yes, we finally reached an agreement on this matter.” Su Yanxi raised her eyebrows and nodded in agreement.
Lian Qingyan pouted and held her hand affectionately, pretending to be on the verge of crying, “Yanxi, I pity you.”

Su Yanxi was speechless. She retracted her hand exasperatedly, “I don’t need that, thank you.”
“What are you two doing?” Lu Jingyan asked when he saw that the two of them were not following him and were mumbling to each other.
“Nothing.” Su Yanxi glared at Lian Qingyan and quickly followed Lu Jingyan.
Looking at their backs, Lian Qingyan raised an eyebrow. She took out her phone from her bag and took a photo of this scene. Then, she opened WeChat and sent the photo taken at the hospital to Mo Bai along with the caption, “Look, it’s a photo of the century. Aren’t the two of them very compatible?”
