The warm golden sunlight shone into the office through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Su Yanxi sat on a high-back chair, reading through the documents on the table seriously. She also used a pen to write something on the documents from time to time.
The transparent glass door of the office was pushed open and Yi Yao walked in. “Ms. Su, are you looking for me?”
Su Yanchi looked up and nodded, “Okay.” She took out a document from under all the documents and handed it to her, “Go to the court this afternoon and submit this.”
Yi Yao took it in confusion, only to see the words’ divorce proceedings’ written on the front page of the document. Yi Yao was a little surprised. “Ms. Su, which client’s divorce proceedings application is this? Why don’t I have any records of it?” With that said, she wanted to take a look.
“Stop.” Seeing that Yi Yao was about to flip through it, Su Yanxi hurriedly stopped her.
Yi Yao was a little stunned by her shout. She stared at Su Yanchi in a daze, only to see panic on her face, “What… What’s wrong, Ms. Su?”
In her impression, Su Yanxi was like an orchid. She was elegant, indifferent, and refined. She did everything in an orderly manner and had her own way of thinking. Even when she met a difficult opponent in court, she was very calm. She had never seen Su Yanxi reveal a panicked expression.
She even felt that words like panic would never appear in Su Yanxi’s dictionary.
Seeing Yi Yao’s surprise, Su Yanxi gradually calmed down. She raised her hand and smoothed her hair down the back of her head, “The client wants to keep this case a secret. Only I can know about it, so you just need to send it straight to the court.”
“Oh, I see! I get it.” Yi Yao nodded with a smile and continued to ask, “Then, can we just save this case under you, Ms. Su?”
“Mm-hmm,” Su Yanxi answered softly, placing a hand on her forehead. “Where’s Mo Bai?”
“I heard from Assistant Lin that Barrister Mo went to Mingcheng Enterprise.”
“Alright, you may go out now!” Su Yanxi replied thoughtfully. After Yi Yao left, she could no longer get the documents on the table into her head.

A few days later, at the First Affiliated Hospital of T City.
“Dr. Lu, thank you for your hard work.” Lu Jingyan had just walked out of the surgery room when a young nurse ran to him and handed him a cup of coffee.
Lu Jingyan glanced indifferently at the coffee in her hands. He had no intention of reaching out to take it and simply walked past her, leaving behind a cold voice, “You’ve worked hard too. Drink it yourself!”
After signing his name on the log book, Lu Jingyan took off his surgical gown and walked to his office. The moment he entered, he saw a graceful figure sitting on the swivel chair in front of his desk. When she heard the door open, she turned her head and her long wavy hair seemed to be floating.
“Dr. Lu, is the surgery over?” The woman stood up with a gentle smile and a sweet voice.
“Do you need anything?” Lu Jingyan walked around the desk, pulled out a high-back chair, and sat down without looking at her.
“Oh! This is for you.” The woman seemed to be used to his coldness and did not mind at all. She pushed the package on the table to him. “I just took it from the lobby’s consulting station. Seeing that it’s yours, I brought it up for you.”
Lu Jingyan lowered his eyes to look at the document in front of him. He reached out to open it and slowly took out a list from inside. He only took out half of it when the few words on it made his handsome face instantly darken. His gaze moved down slightly and when he saw the contents below, his eyes instantly filled with maliciousness as he stuffed the list back into the document.
