Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Who threw my book into the trash can?
Editor: Inschain
Jiang Huai, having been forced to apologize for falsely accusing Qiao Yun of cheating, was in a terrible mood, the whole person like a dragon on the verge of exploding.
Now that his math book was missing, he immediately blew up.
“Whose book is this, tossing it around like trash.” The class monitor picked up a dirty math book from the trash can.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Huai stepped forward, grabbed the book to flip through it, and then, in a rage, kicked over the trash can.
“Who the fuck threw my book into the trash can?”
The classmates looked at each other, but no one admitted to it.
As the class president, Lu Ting naturally stepped forward to calm him down, “Jiang Huai, don’t get worked up. Could it be that you accidentally knocked it into the trash can while playing around with your classmates?”
Jiang Huai frowned and said, “Impossible.”
Lu Xue, impatient, said, “Can’t you keep quiet? We’ve been classmates for two years, who would throw away your book? Are you trying to create trouble for yourself for no reason?”
At these words, Jiang Huai was stunned for a moment. No one in Class Two dared to provoke him, except for one person.
He immediately zeroed in on a suspect and confronted Qiao Yun directly, “Qiao Yun! Did you throw away my book!? Are you looking for death?”
Jiang Huai had never been bullied like this before, and naturally, he was in a very ugly mood.
Facing Jiang Huai’s explosive rage, Qiao Yun’s small face remained calm as she asked him unhurriedly, “Do you have evidence?”
“Who else could it be but you? In this class, only you have a grudge against me! You’re just holding a grudge because I reported your cheating! Using such despicable tricks!”
Jiang Huai’s eyes bulged wide, his fists clenched tightly.
Qiao Yun thought for a moment and then responded, a beat slower.
“First, at the start of school, you tried to bully me. Second, about the report, I don’t hold a grudge. Third, you have no evidence to prove that I’m the one who threw away your book.”
“Without evidence, you can’t slander me; your behavior amounts to defamation. I can sue you. You’re already over eighteen and should bear legal responsibility.”
Jiang Huai: “…”
He was inexplicably intimidated. Compared to his towering rage, Qiao Yun’s calm analysis left him speechless.
Damn it!
What’s with this person, why can she infuriate him every time?
Jiang Huai, not satisfied, persisted, “Who else could it be but you?”
Qiao Yun’s voice was cold: “That’s something you should investigate.”
“Hmph.”
Lu Xue suddenly laughed, her gaze contemptuous: “Qiao Yun, still trying to argue? I saw, during the second half of PE class, when you disappeared out of nowhere?”
Qiao Yun spoke the truth: “I went to sleep.”
“Who saw you?” Lu Xue asked her.
Qiao Yun furrowed her brows and did not answer.
The class erupted with questioning voices, many claiming they had indeed seen Qiao Yun leave but hadn’t seen where she went.
Jiang Huai took Qiao Yun’s silence as a sign of guilt from being caught out.
“Sure enough, it was you who did the bad deed, and you still won’t admit it, trying to shirk responsibility!”
Qiao Yun repeated her stance: “Do you have evidence?”
Jiang Huai’s rage clouded his thinking, confirming to himself once again that Qiao Yun was just making excuses, obviously the perpetrator yet denying everything.
This was a challenge to his standing in the class!
Without thinking, Jiang Huai snatched the book Qiao Yun had placed on the desk: “You dare throw away my book!”
“Rip——”
Qiao Yun’s math book was torn in two by Jiang Huai in front of everyone.
“…”
The classmates were stunned, never expecting Jiang Huai to do such a thing.
Qiao Yun lowered her gaze, looking at her book torn and thrown on the ground by Jiang Huai, her fingers suddenly pressing down hard, her fingertips turning pale.
As she looked up, her calm eyes were tinged with cold harshness.
