Chapter 695: Chapter 695: Slave
The Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword and the Bone Wand in Saramo’s hand collided fiercely. The Sword Qi directly broke the Flame Giant Blade, hitting the Bone Wand and leaving a deep mark on it;
At this moment, Saramo discovered that the Flame Giant Blade condensed on the surface of his Bone Wand seemed to cause no harm at all to Song Jian, like an illusion;
“You, is your Fire Resistance so high?” Saramo exclaimed in surprise, and at the same time, his heart sank, having a bad feeling;
Transforming into the Flame Lord was his most powerful move. The Flame Lord not only possesses the robust body of an Abyssal demon but also excels in using flame spells. He is equally strong in both melee and ranged combat, a fairly balanced warrior race;
However, if the opponent has high Fire Resistance, it would be equivalent to severing one of Saramo’s arms, leaving him to fight with only one arm;
“Fire Resistance? Hahaha, do I need that thing?” Song Jian burst into laughter, and a surge of black flame suddenly rose on his body surface;
“Magic Flame of Abyss?” Saramo’s eyes showed horror, he backed away, shouting, “How can a human have such pure Magic Flame of Abyss, no, no, this is not just Magic Flame of Abyss, it is the advanced Abyssal Raging Flame!”
Saramo’s face expressed shock. He was a pure Abyssal demon and a Flame Lord who excels in Abyssal Flames. He could only control the lowest level of Abyssal Flames, but the human in front of him controlled an advanced Abyssal Raging Flame that was many levels higher than his.
Everything happening before him made Saramo feel like he was dreaming, and it was the most unrealistic kind of nightmare;
“A human holds control over the Abyssal Raging Flame, something that even an Abyssal demon doesn’t have control of, this, this is simply…” Saramo roared in his mind, but he couldn’t change the reality unfolding before him;
Song Jian was covered in demonic flames that coalesced into a suit of black armor. Saramo suddenly realized that the Abyssal Flames which once felt like a part of his body, were beginning to break free of his control, and were starting to harm him instead;
This was not just like severing one of his arms. It was as if somebody had taken control of it to attack him;
Saramo suddenly realized, his decision to transform into the Flame Lord didn’t seem like a good decision;
But, at this point, he couldn’t revert to his previous form of Undead Skeletons. If he really did that, he would probably die faster facing the closely-approaching Song Jian;
“No, this shouldn’t be happening!” Saramo howled in despair. He was originally a wandering wizard expelled from the Abyssal Land. Due to an accident, he became an undead creature, and surprisingly found fortune in his misfortune. He took over the Valley of the Undead and became the master of the Undead Tower.
He originally wanted to take his time to grow here, but he never expected that someone would break into this valley, fight past the six guardians of the Undead Tower, and confront him directly.
The most important thing was that this person was controlling the Abyssal Raging Flame, which suppressed his power. This filled Saramo with deep despair. It made all his efforts feel meaningless, with death slowly approaching him;
“I have already died once, I don’t want to taste that desolate flavor again, death is too terrifying!” Saramo let out a despairing roar;
“Human, I am willing to offer you this Undead Tower. With it, you can control the entire Undead Valley and even save your companions…” Saramo finally pleaded Song Jian;
“Upon killing you, I can still control this Undead Tower!” Song Jian remained unmoved, he continued to wield the Crimson Fire Heart Ape Sword, hacking at the Flame Lord Saramo;
Having lost the power of Abyssal Flames, Saramo was now simply a larger foot soldier, inferior even to the six tower guardians;
“Human, if you spare me, I’m willing to serve you as my master and become your slave!” Saramo’s Vitality Points kept dropping. He had no trump cards left and had nothing that could convince Song Jian apart from himself;
Bang!
Song Jian knocked Saramo flying with a slash of his sword, with a hint of a smile on his face, he said: “Are you really willing to respect me as your master and become my slave?”
A glimmer of joy flashed across Saramo’s face. He stumbled towards Song Jian and kneeled with one knee on the ground. With one hand propping him up and the other on his chest, he bowed his head to the ground and roared: “I, a humble Abyssal demon, the Flame Lord, offer my loyalty to my great master! I am willing to become a slave to the master and never betray!”
“Never betray?” A cold smile crept on Song Jian’s face, he said, “This is not something you just say.”
Saramo suddenly felt something was amiss. He looked up with a puzzled look on his face and asked, “Master, do you want to make a slavery contract with me? It’s possible.I am willing to sign a slavery contract with my great master…”
“There’s no need. Any contract will have loopholes, also, anything so powerful can’t be bound by a piece of paper,” Song Jian said solemnly: “Now, tell me your true name!”
Even the slave contracts provided by the system couldn’t guarantee that a slave will never rebel. As soon as the slave’s level and the master’s level become significantly differed, it’s pretty easy for a rebellion to occur;
“Tr, True Name?” Saramo’s face wore an expression of terror. He hesitated and asked in a low voice, “Master, you… are you going to use that move on me?”
“It’s just a method of control. As long as you obey me, I won’t resort to it. After all, a living Abyssal demon is worth more than a dead one!” Song Jian laughed;
Saramo hesitated. His lips moved, but he didn’t speak his true name. A voice deep within him was defiantly telling him not to tell Song Jian his true name;
Saramo wanted to believe his intuition, unwilling to give his True Name to Song Jian. However, Song Jian’s smile gradually faded, replaced with a fierce expression and the glint of murderous intent in his eyes.
Saramo suddenly realized that if he didn’t say his True Name now, he would have to die. If he told Song Jian his True Name, he might die, but there was a chance he might not;
“Master, my True Name is… Saramo Karishis Mote…” Saramo finally revealed his true name.
A smile spread across Song Jian’s lips. As soon as Saramo finished speaking, he suddenly swung his sword and hacked fiercely at him;
…
