Chapter 53: Persuasion
“I can infiltrate the group and become an undercover agent.”
Everyone was shocked. They felt that Qiu Tong’s logic was abnormal and her actions were extremely odd.
Qiu Tong explained. “The kidnapped civilians have ankle devices. They obey the terrorist organization because they fear death. I can blend in and help them remove the devices and bombs. I can slowly coax them to defect and work for us.”
“When the right time comes, the kidnapped civilians will be able to protect themselves and will not be restrained by the terrorist organization. No human bomb will be able to stop us.”
“If we can convince them to turn against the terrorists, they can even cooperate with you on your plan and wipe the organization out.”
Qiu Tong tilted her head, waiting for Jin Yang to agree.
The impression the surrounding soldiers had of Qiu Tong began to change from disdain and contempt, to respect and even a hint of admiration…
The atmosphere in the second floor basement became more fervent. They seemed to be able to foresee a great victory and could not help feeling the urge to carry out their mission.
Jin Yang’s breathing was unsteady. His sharp eyes locked onto her figure and his thin lips pursed into a straight line. “No.”
Qiu Tong questioned his ability to command. “Why? This is the best and only way to break through.”
Jin Yang’s gaze turned slightly cold. His low and hoarse voice contained an indescribable nervousness. “There will be other ways.”
Qiu Tong was vexed. She didn’t want to waste any more time. After some thought, she walked over to Jin Yang and grabbed his elbow, pulling him to a quiet corner…
Shao An and his bodyguards formed a human wall five meters away, blocking them from the rest. However, they could not help perking up their ears in curiosity, wanting to hear their conversation. Unfortunately, they were too far away and could not hear anything. They could only secretly guess what Qiu Tong wanted to do!
After interacting with him the past few days, Qiu Tong believed that Jin Yang was a trustworthy person.
She was not worried that revealing certain things to him would bring about danger and trouble.
Qiu Tong lowered her head, lifted her shirt and unbuttoned it, revealing her snow-white skin…
Jin Yang was surprised. He looked slightly embarrassed and wanted to shift his gaze away. His throat tightened as he asked, “What are you doing… we are in public!”
Qiu Tong didn’t say anything. She just peeled off her clothes, revealing the wound she’d just received from the explosion.
As if she couldn’t feel the pain, she lowered her head and used her palm to cover the wound, transmitting her special ability to heal the wound in front of Jin Yang.
The miraculous sight made Jin Yang forget about the erotic scene in front of him. His cold fingers poked the tender flesh on her back, causing Qiu Tong to tremble.
“Look, I have the ability to protect myself. Even if I infiltrate a terrorist organization, I won’t be in danger.”
Qiu Tong pushed away his hand and met Jin Yang’s eyes. She said seriously, “You know better than anyone else that my plan is the only feasible one, and I can coordinate with you from the inside.”
Jin Yang saw her supernatural power with his own eyes. He recalled that previous incident. If he hadn’t met Qiu Tong, his life would have been in danger.
“How did you do it?”
“You have supernatural powers. How did you get them?”
Jin Yang pressed on. Qiu Tong didn’t expect his focus to be on that. She replied half-heartedly, “I was born with it.”
“I’ve been different from normal children since I was born…”
Qiu Tong changed the topic and pointed at the corpses outside. She said firmly, “If you want to destroy the terrorist organization and let the civilians live free and happy lives, you should agree to my proposal.”
“Even if I don’t have the ability to protect myself, you should still choose to let me be a spy and exchange one person’s life for the happiness of tens of millions of people. It will be worth it!”
“I’m your personal bodyguard. You didn’t hire me to hide behind you! I don’t want to be useless!”
“Jin Yang, do you understand what I mean?”
Qiu Tong’s voice had risen a few octaves and Jin Yang was moved. He finally agreed to her plan.
“Put your clothes back on.”
Jin Yang reminded Qiu Tong as she stepped out from the dark corner.
She bent her head and re-buttoned her ruffled shirt, before tucking it in properly. Her face was still flushed from the heated argument.
When Shao An heard the sounds of movement, he turned his head and happened to see her actions. He was stunned.
“Sir, you two…”
Shao An’s gaze wandered between the two of them. He stared at the corner and then saw the two red marks on Jin Yang’s neck from the explosion…
He could not help but imagine all sorts of amorous images. Realizing something, Shao An quickly shook his head, not daring to think too much.
