“Are you done checking your wound?” Huangfu Jue noticed what Murong Qingyan was doing and he teased her, “Trust me, you are fine now, completely. But you better not wield your Dark Power for a few days.”

“It is you who has saved me, isn’t it?” Murong Qingyan asked a a rhetorical question, she was sure it was Huangfu Jue who had saved her life. Because Huangfu Jue was the only one who was capable to save her and healed her within such a short amount of time.

‘This is the third time that you have saved my life.’ thought Murong Qingyan to herself.

“That is correct.” Huangfu Jue replied, “How are you going to repay me? How about giving your heart to me?”

Murong Qingyan didn’t feel offended, she look Huangfu Jue up and down, “Are you injured as well? In your head?”

‘Is he bantering with me?’ thought Murong Qingyan, somehow Murong Qingyan felt Huangfu Jue became so different in his air after she woke up, but she couldn’t pinpoint where he had changed.

Huangfu Jue didn’t feel frustrated by Murong Qingyan’s reply, he was well aware there were certain things couldn’t be rushed, their relationship was one of those things, you couldn’t win someone’s heart or expect to change how someone saw you overnight.

Huangfu Jue was too mature to feel hurt by Murong Qingyan’s reply, he showed a faint smile ad said, “You wound is healed now, but you were pierced at your pubic area by the serpent, that has taken a heavy toll on you. I’m afraid I have to tell you that you need to cease cultivating.”

“I’m grateful that I’m still alive.” Murong Qingyan smiled and then she asked, “About the serpent… …”

“It has already become smoke and ashes.” Huangfu Jue’s tone was as cold as marble in spite of the smile on his face, “I’m sorry I’ve deprived you of the opportunity to flog its body to vent out your anger.”

Hearing that, Murong Qingyan shook her head resignedly, “I don’t tend to have a hobby like that, all right?”

‘Flogging a dead serpent’s body, ewww! That wasn’t what I was thinking, I just wanted to check what has become of the serpent. But how interesting it is, Huangfu Jue has killed the serpent and made it smoke and ashes. He has saved me twice before, last time when he saved me from the Murong Family, he didn’t go to the great length to punish them so hard.’ Murong Qingyan couldn’t think this through.

Neither the aggressive behavior on the serpent who had hurt her nor the teasing which bordered on flirtation had arouse any suspect in Murong Qingyan’s heart. She was not the type of girl who tended to get above herself, she knew the hideous birth mark on her right cheek wasn’t exactly something men would appreciate, so it didn’t even occur to her that Huangfu Jue helped her out time and again was because he harbored romantic feelings for her.

Murong Qingyan had no idea who Huangfu Jue really was, but she had seen how Xuan Yi had treated him, she was sure Huangfu Jue was definitely a great peersonage and he must have had seen a great number with all kinds of beauties. Therefore it had never crossed Murong Qingyan’s mind they Huangfu Jue was doing this because he had romantic feelings for her.

“Well, I’m glad you are not hoping to flog it.” Huangfu Jue nodded while he was still holding Murong Qingyan in his arms.

“Where is Chen Wenwen?” it was only natural that Murong Qingyan would check on the person who had used her as a human shield after she found out the serpent had died.

Huangfu Jue didn’t answer Murong Qingyan, he just raised his head and looked ahead.

“Miss Murong, I have no idea what has happened, but please have mercy on Wenwen.” Chen Xianbin begged Murong Qingyan who had woken up, “Wenwen has already learned her lesson, and I swear I will discipline her in the future! I’m apologizing to you on her behalf, please forgive her!”

Chen Xianbin still had no idea what had happened between his sister and Murong Qingyan to this point, what came to their sight was the scene where Huangfu Jue punished Chen Wenwen.

But soon Chen Xianbin saw Murong Qingyan who was lying unconsciously in Huangfu Jue’s arms and covered with blood stains, he had a hunch that his sister must have had done something horrible to Murong Qingyan, but he couldn’t just sit back and watch his sister being punished by Huangfu Jue, he needed to fight for his sister despite they were as puny as ants in front of Huangfu Jue.

To be accurate, they were not as puny as ants, Huangfu Jue was just too omnipotent.

Chen Xianbin knew Huangfu Jue must be a powerful cultivator at first sight, but it still amazed him to see exactly how powerful Huangfu Jue as was.
