Chapter 391: Chapter 398: You are very arrogant! (Fifth update)
“Ancient tribe language, Open the heavens!”
The Scoundrel Cat’s words gave everyone a start, Yang Zhen wore a strange expression and muttered, “So it’s the ancient tribe’s language. Why make it so complex?”
“Damn, I remember now, according to the legend, the ancient tribe existed since the creation of heaven and earth. The people of this tribe often considered themselves children of the sky. Their cultivation speed was faster than other races, both their innate talents and abilities were extraordinary. Most importantly, they had an ancient inherited ritual that could open the heavens!”
“What does Open the heavens mean?” Old Ghost Hei asked, confusion flickering in his eyes.
Scoundrel Cat shook his head and said, “I don’t know. I’ve never seen them actually do it.”
With that, Scoundrel Cat turned to look at Yang Zhen, and asked oddly, “Did you actually see their ancient ritual of opening the heavens in the Chains of Heaven and Earth?”
Yang Zhen nodded and said, “If Demacia is them, then that’s right. Damned! They’re not trying to open the heavens in the North Garden Ice Cave, are they?”
At the mention of the North Garden Ice Cave, Old Ghost Hei and the others looked terribly shocked. After exchanging glances with Shang Yao and others, they exclaimed in horror, “Did you say… you saw an ice sculpture?”
‘Yeah, a statue made of ice, it resembles a beautiful young lady,” Yang Zhen nodded and said.
“This is bad!”
Old Ghost Hei’s expression changed drastically, “Quickly, let’s stop them!”
Without giving any explanations, Old Ghost Hei leapt onto his flying sword and swooshed towards North Garden.
Yang Zhen and Scoundrel Cat exchanged glances, clueless as to what Old Ghost Hei was up to. When they turned to look at Shang Yao and the others, they too had faces of horror and exploded into a terrifying wave of energy sprinting towards North Garden.
‘Yang Zhen, we should go and see too!” Palace Master Liu said solemnly, “The ancient tribe is making their move, surely they would know of some unknown secrets. We might gain some insights from them!”
Yang Zhen’s eyes lit up as he turned to Scoundrel Cat and said, “What do you think… if this Sao Saint were to capture a couple of ancient tribesmen and interrogate them in the black room, could I find out anything?”
Everyone present felt a chill at Yang Zhen’s words.
Scoundrel Cat’s eyes sparkled as he laughed and said, “That’s not a bad idea. It would be great if we could capture a high-ranking one. They certainly would know a lot more.”
“That’s settled then!” Yang Zhen immediately decided happily, turned to Hua Youyue and the others and said, “Want to come and see?”
Hua Youyue nodded and said, “I, too, have my doubts. Let’s go together. You… just be a bit more careful.”
Yang Zhen chuckled and said, “Young lady, you should tell those of the ancient tribe to be careful too.”
Scoundrel Cat snorted disdainfully and said, “You’d better not be so overconfident. Every single one of those people is a freak. For all you know, a kid could leave you bruised and battered.”
“Damn it, are you trying to boost their morale and quench my spirit, Sao Saint? Just you wait and see how Sao Saint will make them beg for mercy!”
At that moment, Han Yan’er stepped forward and said softly, “I’ll go with you all!”
As the group sped towards North Garden, the overwhelming power in mid-air continued to surge. The turbulent celestial energy soared into the sky, startling even Yang Zhen.
“What on earth are these people up to? Are they really trying to split open the heavens?”
These waves of energy permeated the heaven and earth, each wave akin to the breath of Heaven and Earth, sending chills down one’s spine.
The awe-inspiring power of heaven is the most feared by practitioners.
Yang Zhen wasn’t alone, hence he didn’t use his full speed. Nevertheless, they quickly caught up with Old Ghost Hei and Shang Yao.
The group up front moved with the speed of light, disappearing into a snow-covered landscape in a blink of an eye.
Yang Zhen looked around curiously at the surroundings. The Flower Face Mountain, echoing with birdsong and rich fragrance was not far behind, but here it was a bleak and desolate world of snow. It was a stark contrast, with the snow blanketing everything in its silvery glow.
The snow mountain in front was where all the power was gushing out. After probing with his spiritual senses Yang Zhen’s face turned strange.
A surge of deathly aura was lurking within, obscured by the energy of heaven and earth. It would’ve gone unnoticed if not for a close perceptive examination.
“Is this the aura of those ancient tribes?” Yang Zhen curiously asked. “Why is the aura of death so heavy?”
The cheeky cat snorted and said, “This? It’s nothing. They say the ancient tribes’ saintess was born with a deadly body. Simply lifting a hand or moving a foot could…darn it, did you say you saw an ice sculpture of a woman while you were in the Heaven and Earth Shackles?”
Yang Zhen nodded. “A very pretty young lady. But she was covered in black, so I couldn’t make out her physique.”
The cat screeched, “Oh no! It seems the ancient tribe is trying to refine this world to revive their saintess!”
“What nonsense?” Yang Zhen was startled.
Another saintess that had to be resurrected?
Just as Yang Zhen and the cat were making puzzling faces at each other, Old Ghost Hei’s voice echoed out from nearby, “Stop! You’re going to cause a great disaster to this place…aaah!”
A roar echoed out followed by a sudden turbulent burst of energy. Everyone was shocked when they saw Old Ghost Hei suddenly appearing from the mountain, his body radiating a frightening True Essence turbulence, his gaze firmly on an enormous cave, he sternly said, “This is North Garden, not your ancient tribe’s land!”
A clear voice responded. “Old man, our people lived here ten thousand years ago. Are you saying this is not our tribal territory?”
Upon hearing this, everyone felt a chill run down their spine.
The Palace Master and the middle-aged man from Ink Pool Peak glanced at each other, seeing the bewildered look on Yang Zhen’s face, they said, “Inside the North Garden Ice Cave, there is indeed an ice sculpture. It has been there for countless years. But it has always been unapproachable, seeming to be sealed within some restrictions…”
Practitioners who hadn’t been to the North Garden Ice Cave gasped in shock, staring at each other in disbelief.
Yang Zhen blinked and said, “Since this place is their territory and their saintess is here, why stop them? You guys aren’t being fair. Watch me, the Sao Saint, persuade Elder Hei. Saying it’s better to live in peace. When I, the Sao Saint, steal people, I don’t need to worry about anything.”
“Can’t I steal during a fight?” the cat asked, looking confused.
Yang Zhen glared at him and said, “If a real fight breaks out, I, Sao Saint, won’t even have time to steal. I’d be too busy stealing their stuff!”
“You want to steal from the ancient tribe?” The cat’s eyes lit up.
“Keep it down! If you shout like that and let everyone know, what’s the point of stealing!”
Everyone exchanged glances, smiling wryly at each other.
At this point, a group of people in black walked out of the ice cave, looking awe-inspiring and full of arrogance.
In particular, a young man leading them was so profound in source aura that even Yang Zhen couldn’t tell how many calamities he had passed. He moved with an air of authority, each gesture and motion radiating with lightning essence.
These people were no different than ordinary people, except for their deeper auras and superior body quality – clearly, they also underwent body refinement.
Old Ghost Hei stared at the young man and said sternly, “The moment that restriction is broken, the overwhelming deadly aura will burst out, affecting a radius of thousands of miles and possibly bringing about disaster. What are you trying to do?”
“What business is it of yours?” The young man scoffed.
Feeling stunned, Yang Zhen turned to the cat and said, “This fellow is more boastful than I am and furthermore, he’s their leader. Capturing him is definitely the right move!”
The cat nodded, rubbing its hands and saying, “Yes, yes, but we can’t just…steal him, right?”
Yang Zhen slapped the cat on the head, “What are you thinking? Am I, Sao Saint, the kind of person who would just steal someone?”
Saying that, Yang Zhen, in a more flamboyant manner than the young man, stepped forward under the shocked gaze of everyone, pointed at the young man’s nose and said, “Hey kid, you’re pretty arrogant. Do you want this Sao Saint to use the Azure Dragon Crescent Blade to make you humble?”
At his words, the group of women who had just come out of the ice cave recoiled, and everyone looked at Yang Zhen in disbelief.
Behind Yang Zhen, the cat and others were also dumbfounded.
“Damn it, Yang Zhen is still more audacious,” they muttered..
