After Tang Ning left the Hundred Herbs Tower, she subconsciously felt a vicious pair of eyes glaring at her.
She calmly and discreetly turned and glanced around before dispersing into the crowded area. The middle-aged man hiding in the dark noticed that the little monk was trying to flee, and he immediately chased after the little monk. He stretched out his hand, wanting to get a hold of the little monk, but was pushed away by the crowd and couldn’t catch him.
Tang Ning leaned her body forward to get away from the hand behind, which was trying to catch her. However, due to the crowded street, a child running around bumped into her. She lost her balance and fell forward, head-first towards a man’s arms.
But before she crashed into the man’s arms, she felt something steadying her previously unbalanced and falling body. That something, which helped her to regain her balance, was a large hand on her bald head.
Looking at the small figure that almost crashed into his arms, and the bald head his hand was pressing against, Mo Ye frowned slightly. He glanced coldly at the crowd, and his gaze finally landed on the middle-aged man, who was now dodging and retreating.
Noticing that the middle-aged man had disappeared into the crowd, he retracted his gaze and pushed the bald head in his palm backward as he commanded. “Let go.”
Tang Ning heard the deep and overbearing voice of the man, filled with coldness. She felt someone pushing her head away, causing her to take a step back.
After regaining her balance, Tang Ning let go of the man’s robe and touched her bald scalp. She looked back to search for her pursuer, only after confirming that the pursuer was gone, Tang Ning turned back to look at the man before her.
The man before her had almost perfect features, like a masterpiece of Heavens. His chiseled jawline, deep and mysterious black eyes, tightly pursed thin lips, and his dignified but domineering aura was all so breathtaking. Tang Ning couldn’t help but keep looking at the man with a dumbfounded expression.
When Mo Ye noticed the little monk staring at him dazedly, his face quickly darkened. His cold gaze scanned the little monk’s beautiful face. Mo Ye was about to leave when he saw the little monk smiling and eyes narrowed like a crafty fox.
“Amitabha, Benefactor, all meetings in this world are fated. As someone loved by the Heavens, come and create an affinity with Buddha!” As she spoke to the man, Tang Ning took out her bowl and smiled at the man before her with squinted eyes.
Such an extraordinary man with a domineering aura and godlike face was a rare find.
“Loved by the Heavens?”
Mo Ye’s facial expressions turned cold, and his body exuded an aura even frostier than before, even subtly showing a killing intent. As if the little monk before him had violated his taboo, his eyes were becoming cold and heartless.
Feeling the change in the man’s aura, Tang Ning’s gaze shifted slightly, and she was feeling shocked. All she had said were compliments or words that are pleasing to the ear, why did this man look like someone had stepped on his tail? Why does he look like he was about to kill someone?
Mo Ye had initially wanted to leave, but after listening to the little monk’s words, he started slowly approaching the little monk before him step by step. The pressurizing aura he released was noticed by the people surrounding them on the street, and they started to intentionally avoid the two of them, feeling uncomfortable with his aura.
Suddenly there was a wide space created on the street. A man dressed in black stood in the middle of the space created, his body was exuding a strong presence, and his two guards in black robes were standing a meter behind him.
The two guards had cold facial expressions. They were looking at the little monk as if he was a dead person.
