1906 Coming Full Circle
Min Yu looked at Huo Yao. She was expressionless. Since they had been out all night, her hair was a little damp from the mist. Her face looked thin and pale and her lips were also bereft of color.
Min Yu felt a twinge in his heart looking at her. He took off his coat and slowly placed it on Huo Yao. He said, “The Huo family has a lot of resources, so I think things aren’t as bad as they sound.”
Huo Yao acknowledged him and said, “I know.”
In reality, Huo Yao was not worried about the family that much. Even if all the other families combined forces to go against them, no one could take down a powerful family with a long history overnight. Moreover, she had Cloud Realm behind her.
Huo Yao simply suddenly remembered something Sheng Ying mentioned last night before he died.
He said that she could not change anyone’s fate. From the looks of it, other than the clan elders, he was probably referring to her family as well.
Sheng Ying was dead, but Shangguan Hou had yet to appear. As she pondered, Huo Yao turned to glance in the direction of the graves. The Shangguan clan would cease to exist from now on. From now on, no one would disturb them.
Huo Yao veered her eyes, composed herself, and said, “Let’s go.”
“Okay.” Min Yu nodded. He reached his hand to hold Huo Yao’s. The moment he held it, he frowned slightly.
Huo Yao used her other hand to straighten the coat on her shoulders as though she felt cold.
Seeing this, Min Yu did not notice anything amiss for now.
They headed out.
Myron was still sitting on the steps outside with a black laptop on his knees. The laptop looked big and clumsy, appearing like an old-fashioned one. However, at close scrutiny, the laptop monitor was of very high resolution and had far higher speeds than regular laptops on the market now.
The moment he saw Huo Yao and the others come out of the secret chamber, he stopped working on the laptop. He held the laptop as he looked at Huo Yao and said softly, “Sorry for your loss.”
Huo Yao nodded. She glanced at the laptop screen. Code could still be seen jumping on it. Seeing her look over, Myron paused briefly and said in a sad tone, “All the stuff… Are you sure about destroying them?”
This laptop contained a lot of code and programs that were never before seen. It was far more advanced than any of the technology in the world now. Any single item on it was enough to cause a commotion in the technology industry.
Since its contents were very special, he was hesitant about wiping them.
Huo Yao looked at him coldly and spoke in a cool tone, “It’s the root of all problems. If we keep this stuff, it will only attract endless trouble.”
If the Shangguan clan were just physicians living in seclusion, perhaps nothing of the sort would have happened today. Sadly, the Shangguan clan had more than medical abilities. The existence of the stuff inside the laptop had already attracted Sheng Ying. If the knowledge was allowed to exist, only more people like him would emerge…
“Well, that’s true.” Myron sighed softly. Even though he did not know how the family got their hands on this cutting-edge technology, he could totally appreciate the unrest it would cause. He simply said, “Don’t worry. I won’t breathe a word about the things on the laptop.”
Huo Yao glanced at him. “If you can understand anything on the laptop, consider yourself lucky then.”
Myron was briefly stunned. After some time, he finally realized what Huo Yao meant. He could finally understand why Huo Yao brought him in here and showed him the laptop openly.
After all, she would not want complications to arise.
Myron felt moved by her trust in him. As he started destroying the contents of the laptop, he secretly made up his mind to make more money in the future!
Huo Yao did not know what Myron was thinking. She also did not check to see if he was destroying everything on the computer. She told Min Yu to wait and turned to go to the secret chamber again.
By the time she returned, all the ancient-style mechanisms in the restricted area were destroyed. The time travel portal was also completely deactivated.
The Shangguan clan’s secrets were forever locked away along with the death of the elders today.

They moved quickly. After leaving the Shangguan clan, Huo Yao received news that her eldest uncle and Aunt Tong were genuinely abducted by super assassins and taken to Mirage Base. They went back to Country M without hesitation.
They flew using Cloud Realm’s flight route, so it was particularly smooth.
On the way back, Huo Yao did not speak much at all. She was so angry that people could sense the low pressure around her like a storm was waiting for them.
After getting off the plane, Myron’s men brought a middle-aged man over. Even though he was dressed in normal clothes, he was clearly well-trained.
He looked at Huo Yao and clearly seemed relieved. He walked straight up in front of her. “Are you Miss Huo? My boss wants you to have this.”
The man looked respectful as he handed Huo Yao the manila envelope.
Huo Yao looked at him. “Prince Rocco?”
The man was surprised and did not expect Huo Yao to know, but he quickly nodded and replied, “That’s right. My boss inadvertently learned something. If you need any help with the Huo family, just let him know.”
Huo Yao took the manila envelope and opened it for a look. She narrowed her eyes before removing its contents. She raised her head. “Please help me thank the prince for this. I will visit him and thank him personally one day.”
“You’re welcome.” The man could tell that Huo Yao was tactfully declining. He bowed. “In that case, I will leave you to it.”
Saying this, he turned to leave without disturbing her.
After he was gone, Huo Yao veered her eyes. She handed the documents to Min Yu and asked, “Do you have any conflict with Fan Shun?”
When she was at Count Kerr’s residence, Min Yu mentioned Fan Shun wanted her. Then why did Prince Rocco’s documents say something about Min Yu?
Also, why did it come with a top-secret stamp?
“Huh?” Min Yu glanced at Huo Yao as he took the documents. “Why?”
“He’s studying you,” said Huo Yao with a murderous look sweeping across her eyes.
She hated researchers like them.
Min Yu flipped through the document swiftly. In less than a minute, he was done reading them. He frowned. “The Fan family has been doing Biochemistry research for generations. I don’t have much interaction with them.”
“Something about you has drawn their interest.” Huo Yao sounded particularly mocking. She knew how obsessive and determined researchers could get. Since they had collected so much data, they were probably plotting something.
Huo Yao pondered and said, “No matter what. Watch your back.”
She did not feel that Rocco had inadvertently gotten his hands on this intel. Otherwise, he would not have specially sent someone to Cloud Realm.
“Got it.” Min Yu nodded
“Uh huh,” Huo Yao acknowledged softly.
At this moment, Zhuo Yun suddenly received a call as he stood behind. He walked to the side to answer it. After hearing his subordinate’s report he was shocked. “Did Mirage Base get destroyed?”
Huo Yao turned around hearing Zhuo Yun’s words.
Detecting her gaze, Zhuo Yun said to the phone, “Got it.”
After hanging up the phone, he walked up to Huo Yao. “Just earlier, Mirage Base got destroyed.”
Huo Yao frowned.
“Someone activated the self-destruction mode at Mirage Base.” Zhuo Yun glanced at Huo Yao cautiously, hesitated briefly, and told her about the news he had just received, “It’s doubtful if anyone survived.”
A few hours ago, they had just received news that Miss Huo’s eldest uncle got taken back to Country M by super assassins. Now that Mirage Base suddenly got blown up, did this mean Huo Jinfeng was also dead?
Zhuo Yun looked worried. He really wanted to curse inside. Why did these things keep happening to them?
If Huo Jinfeng met with any mishap, the situation out there would only get worse.
“I will get people to track down Mr Huo and the others.” After Myron learned about the unforeseen incident, he took out his phone.
“I will get our men to check on Mirage Base as well…” said Zhuo Yun hurriedly.
Just as they were about to make calls, Huo Yao’s phone suddenly rang in her pocket.
It was a call from an anonymous number.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes and answered the phone.
After the call got through, it went quiet on the other end of the line. It was so quiet that it felt as though no one was there.
Huo Yao’s eyes turned cold, but she did not take the initiative to speak.
In terms of patience, she was no match.
“Miss Huo.” A voice could finally be heard from the other end of the phone. It sounded young, deep, and slightly relaxed. “Huo Jinfeng is in my hands.”
Huo Yao raised her head glancing at the files in Min Yu’s hand and pursed her lips. A second later, she accurately identified the caller’s name. “Fan Shun.”
“Miss Huo, you don’t sound surprised at all.” Fan Shun laughed softly. He was not shocked that Huo Yao was able to guess his identity with a single sentence.
After all, she had succeeded in eradicating all internal conflict and problems in the Huo family and earned their respect in a short period of time. She was naturally not an ordinary woman.
Huo Yao spoke mildly and cut to the chase with Fan Shun, “Go on. What do you want?”
“Shall we chat in person?” Fan Shun sat on the couch as he rapped his long fingers on his knee casually.
“Okay. Send me the address.” Huo Yao reacted briskly.
Fan Shun raised his brow. He always admired straightforward people. But… It was quite a pity.
He did not continue talking and hung up the phone.
Huo Yao lowered her eyes and removed the phone from her ear. Then, an address popped up on her phone.
She tapped on the phone and checked the address. She said to Zhuo Yun and Myron who were making calls, “Don’t bother checking. Fan Shun has my eldest uncle.”
Hearing this, the two of them felt a little relieved.
No matter who had him, they were relieved he was fine.
“Are you going to see him now?” asked Min Yu, glancing at Huo Yao’s phone.
“Uh huh.” Huo Yao nodded. She raised her brow. “I want to find out what he wants.”
Saying this, she strode out swiftly.
Min Yu veered his head to say a few words to Zhuo Yun and followed behind Huo Yao.

The address Fan Shun had sent was not located at the Fan family’s estate. Instead, it was located in the region of unrest which had no governmental control.
It was the same place where Shangguan Hou had led Huo Yao after abducting her senior brothers.
It was also the place where Sheng Ying had first schemed against her in her previous life.
It felt as though everything was coming full circle and they were back to the beginning.
Huo Yao looked at the villa with its doors wide open in front of her. A mocking smile appeared on her face.
