Chapter 549: Chapter 259: It’s Effort I Rely On, The End of Everything_3
The concert soon reached its end.
On the stage, Ilisa, having sung the last song, looked at the densely packed audience waving their glow sticks like a star-filled sky and suddenly fell silent.
But quickly, she revealed a brilliant smile and spoke into the microphone, “Thank you, everyone, for joining me tonight. With this, today’s concert has almost come to a perfect close.”
“Due to health reasons, I must say a temporary goodbye to the entertainment industry, and I may not sing anymore.”
“I want to thank everyone for your companionship and support along the way, my friends who have helped me, and the team members at my company. You all have worked so hard.”
“I particularly want to express my gratitude to Boss Boyce from the Cloud Heaven Group, who is also my aunt. It’s because of her that I have been able to realize my dreams of becoming an international star.”
“Besides that, I must thank the company president’s assistant, Sister Jessica, for your company during the tough times that allowed me to get through them.”
“And in the last phase of my singing career, I had the fortune to meet a few good friends.”
“The adorable Sister Moon, the dependable Damon Lopes, and the ‘Hegemon,’ Darren Callum, who everybody loves to hate—you all have worked so hard during this time.”
As she said this, Ilisa gave a deep bow in their direction.
Then, raising her head with the microphone in hand, she looked at the countless audience members before her, “Alright, I’ve said my thanks. Now, for everyone’s safety, please, I ask that those sitting in the back rows leave your seats in an orderly fashion.”
“Don’t rush, I will stand on stage and watch until the last audience member has left.”
“Ilisa, we don’t want to let you go.”
“Right, can’t you just not leave the entertainment industry?”
“Come back after you get better; we’ll wait for you.”
“Ilisa, we’ll wait for you…”
The chorus of tens of thousands shouting together was so loud that it seemed even the roof of the stadium was vibrating. The many pairs of eyes filled with reluctance brought a slight redness to Ilisa’s gaze.
Almost everyone who had come to the concert was a faithful fan of hers.
Their pleas for her to stay also signified that she had left her mark in this world. Even if she were to fall into an eternal sleep with no return, there would still be those who remembered her.
Remembered there was once a girl named Ilisa, who had shined brightly.
Suppressing the thoughts in her heart, Ilisa revealed a radiant smile and bowed deeply to the crowd, “Thank you, everyone. Thank you for your support.”
Although her words kept repeating thanks, she made no promise of a return after her recovery.
Good upbringing and manners taught her never to make promises she couldn’t keep.
Half an hour later, as the final person left the stadium, the previously noisy venue quickly fell quiet and deserted, leaving behind only the lone figure still standing on stage.
At that moment, Gwen Gail climbed onto the stage and came up beside Ilisa, whispering softly, “Sister Ilisa, it’s time to go.”
“Yes, it’s time to head back,” Ilisa snapped back to reality, giving a slight smile to Jack and the others.
Cyrstal Boyce and Marla Fiore, among others, also emerged from behind the stage. Watching the girl who still had a smile as beautiful as flowers on her face, they sighed inwardly.
Crystal Boyce took Ilisa’s hand, “Misss Joseline, let’s go.”
“Let’s go.”
As the group departed, one by one, the lights went out, and darkness swallowed the stadium.
It seemed to be foreshadowing something.
Following behind Ilisa, as Jack stepped out of the stadium gate, his pace faltered, and his mind was flooded with all that had happened during this time.
From the moment he stepped out of the Alien Beast Battlefield, filled with curiosity and innocence, to now, having slain the Evil God and become renowned across the world, it felt like a long time had passed.
With the conclusion of today’s concert, everything also came to an end.
From below, Damon Lopes shouted, “Brother Callum, let’s go.”
“Coming.”
