Chapter 30: A Range of Emotions
When did she ruin their relationship? Ye Yang simply bought her some fine rice, and now she’s a wench? Flour wasn’t a primary food staple for her previously, so she preferred rice. Is that so wrong?
She knows they’re short on money, so she was trying to think of ways to earn more that didn’t involve Ye Yang having to go to the mountains to hunt.
Thinking of Ye Yang, Liu Duo calmed down a bit: “If you let me go, I’ll earn back what we used to buy the rice. In fact, I’ll earn enough to have rice everyday.”
“You will? Hmph…” Ye Mo sneered.
Ye Mo found it hard to believe her.
Liu Duo raged: “Let me go, or else…”
“Or else…what!? We bought you. Your duty is to give us children!” Ye Mo lowered his head and bit her on the neck.
Liu Duo cried out: “Ah… you mad dog!”
When Ye Mo bit her neck, his heart raced. This was the first time being this close to a woman’s body. She was soft, supple, and had a faint aroma. Though he was angry, he couldn’t help but blush.
With the sound of firewood crackling in the kitchen, the others hadn’t heard a peer out of her, but their attention was on her at all times. Hearing a ruckus suddenly kick up, Ye Liu and Ye Ling immediately rushed over. They saw Ye Mo biting the neck of a struggling Liu Duo, she being too weak to push off a big guy like him.
Ye Liu pulled Ye Mo off and drug him out of the room. Ye Ling stayed, holding Liu Duo in distress: “It’s okay now, Duo’er. We’re here.” Liu Duo wiped her tears and nodded.
Ye Mo grit his teeth in pain as Ye Liu let loose a barrage of punches until Ye Mo was beaten black and blue: “You’re quite a thing, third brother… To act against Xiao Duo again!”
Hearing Ye Liu’s censure, Liu Duo pulled on Ye Ling’s sleeve: “Fourth brother…. Second brother won’t kill him, right?”
“Don’t worry, second brother won’t go that far.”
“Oh,” Liu Duo dried her tears and got out of bed, heading out with Ye Ling.
Ye Mo was lying on the ground in rough shape: footprints all over, face swollen, and the corner of his mouth bleeding. Despite that, Ye Liu stood holding a pole, ready to dish out more.
When Liu Duo saw this, she immediately cried out: “Second brother, that’s enough.”
This pole was thick, you’d definitely feel it if you were on the receiving end.
Liu Duo took his Ye Liu’s hand in an attempt to stop him, but he just laughed: “It’s fine, he’s got thick skin.”
With that, Ye Liu laid it on him again while Ye Mo grunted, practically unable to hold back his tears. Liu Duo trembled as she saw Ye Mo cringe in pain.
Ye Ling was originally very angry with Ye Mo, but seeing his miserable state, he said: “Second brother, that’s enough! Third brother should know he’s wrong.”
“Please stop, I’m fine now,” she said.
Ye Mo turned to Liu Duo in surprise, not expecting her to plead for him.
