Chapter 101 How Great It Would Be If Someone Could Coax Him
Cen Muqi’s food was only suitable to be looked at and not to be eaten, but he wasn’t qualified to comment because Ji Naitang’s cooking was even worse. His food couldn’t even be looked at.
In reality, neither one of them had any talent in cooking.
Cen Muqi continued his meeting after lunch. Ji Naitang reclined on the sofa in the CEO’s office openly and aboveboard. After what happened earlier, the whole company probably knew that he and Cen Muqi were in a serious romantic relationship.
He had been dreaming last night, so he hadn’t slept well. Now that something worrisome was solved, he was very relaxed and happy. So, he was a little dazed and wanted to sleep.
He thought that he didn’t know how long Cen Muqi would be busy for, so he reclined back on the sofa and planned to take a nap. He dreamed this time too. He dreamed about that time in the hospital twelve years ago when he interacted with Cen Muqi.
He was in the hospital for more than two months back then. He had peeked at Cen Muqi from the window in his hospital room for about a month or so, but he had only spoken to Cen Muqi once.
November weather was already very cold. When the sun was out, everyone liked going to the garden to bask in the sun, but Ji Naitang hadn’t gone even once.
“TangTang, the weather is good today. Why don’t we go down and walk around?”
In the hospital room, Qiu Yue walked over to the window and asked Ji Naitang, who was looking down at the garden, a question. Ji Naitang was ten years old. But because he experienced Ji Moyu’s death, Qiu Nanshu’s madness, and the car accident, he was quiet and lifeless.
Ji Weihong died in the car accident, which was a good thing for Qiu Yue. But every time she looked at how her originally lively and spirited son turned into this, she didn’t feel good either.
Whenever the sun was out, she would ask Ji Naitang this, but she was rejected every time. So, she thought it would be the same this time. She didn’t expect Ji Naitang to actually agree.
He said, “Okay.”
Qiu Yue was very happy to see that he was willing to leave the hospital room. She quickly helped him put on a coat and took him downstairs.
There were areas for patients and families in the garden. Everyone was chatting. Qiu Yue was worried because Ji Naitang was injured, so she had him sit in a wheelchair.
“Why don’t we go over to the small pond?” Qiu Yue asked for Ji Naitang’s opinion. Ji Naitang pointed to the flower pots. “Go over there.”
Qiu Yue naturally wouldn’t object. She pushed the wheelchair over to the flower pots. This was right under Ji Naitang’s hospital room. There were a few people here already.
Ji Naitang looked at Cen Muqi, who was on his left side. The sixteen-year-old young man always smiled. In the past month, he became imprinted in Ji Naitang’s heart.
He didn’t like him right now. He just innocently thought how great it would be if someone could be this gentle to him, coax him, and make him laugh.
He had Ji Moyu in the past, but not anymore.
Qiu Yue answered her phone. A doctor had called and wanted her to go to the doctor’s office. She hung up and asked Ji Naitang, “TangTang, I have to go see the doctor. Can you bask in the sun here?”
Ji Naitang nodded. Qiu Yue said she would come back soon and left. Ji Naitang didn’t care when she would come back. His eyes hadn’t moved from beginning to end.
He didn’t know how long he looked before he gently called out, “Brother……”
The nearby Cen Muqi looked at him and smiled. “Are you talking to me?”
