Chapter 83 Can You Coax Me?
Cen Muqi covered Ji Naitang’s injured hand and said seriously to him, “There’s no one else here. Cry if you’re sad. Don’t hide your emotions.”
“Cen Muqi……”
“It’s me. I’m right here.”
Ji Naitang lightly blinked and tears flowed down his cheeks. His voice shook as he asked, “Coax me……. Can you coax me?”
“Okay.” Cen Muqi raised his hand to touch Ji Naitang’s forehead. He said softly, “Baby, I’ll cry with you okay? If you’re tired of crying, I’ll carry you home.”
Ji Naitang hugged Cen Muqi with his left hand. Then he dared to loudly cry. Yao Yuanjing was also extremely sad. He walked softly out of the bathroom.
Since they were young, the person who kept Ji Naitang company was him. From now on, it shouldn’t be him anymore. Yao Yuanjing couldn’t say how it felt. Maybe the feeling of breaking up with someone that people talked about felt like this.
Ten minutes later, Mrs. Yao led Dr. Jin upstairs. When Dr. Jin crouched down to treat Ji Naitang’s injuries, Ji Naitang had already stopped crying. He had no reaction at all, like he felt no pain at all.
But he hugged Cen Muqi from start to finish and didn’t let him go for even a moment. Cen Muqi reached out and touched Ji Naitang’s face, like a silent consolation.
After Dr. Jin left, Yao Yuanjing said to Cen Muqi, “It’s really late right now. His current state isn’t suitable for running around. Just stay here.”
Cen Muqi didn’t say anything, so Yao Yuanjing added, “CEO Cen, I’ll allow you to stay here too, okay?”
“Thank you.”
Yao Yuanjing didn’t expect that Cen Muqi would thank him. He said frankly, “You should be able to tell what mine and his relationship is, so you don’t need to thank me.”
If Cen Muqi couldn’t tell, then he would be a fool. But he wasn’t in the mood to care about this. People said that Yao Yuanjing had kept Ji Naitang as his mistress. But their actions were not like that at all.
And Mrs. Yao’s reaction was very abnormal. Everything pointed to the fact that Ji Naitang and Yao Yuanjing were friends and they were the very good kind of friends.
Although Ji Naitang’s emotions had stabilized a bit, he still hadn’t returned to normal yet. Yao Yuanjing took the initiative to give up his room. He didn’t often stay here, but fortunately, there were servants who cleaned the room, so they could just stay there.
Yao Yuanjing also had people prepare clean towels, toothbrushes, and such for them. After Cen Muqi’s father’s car accident, there were some rumors about the Yao family. Although it was determined that the accident had nothing to do with the Yao family, the Cen and Yao families’ relationship had changed over the past ten years because of it.
And Cen Muqi suddenly discovered that maybe Yao Yuanjing wasn’t a bad person.
Cen Muqi wiped Ji Naitang’s face and left hand. Then he used an ice pack to make a cold compress for his forehead. There were bumps where Ji Naitang had hit the wall earlier.
There were only the two of them left in the room. Cen Muqi carried Ji Naitang to the bed. But Ji Naitang had to get out of bed and curl up by the bed, as if this would make him feel more secure.
Cen Muqi had no other choice. He could only follow along and sit on the floor with him. They were silent for a long time. Then Ji Naitang suddenly said, “If I didn’t choose my brother seventeen years ago at the Chengxi Orphanage, then maybe his life wouldn’t have been so miserable.”
He turned to look at Cen Muqi. His eyes glittered with tears, but he smiled and continued, “So, the person responsible for all the tragedies is me.”
