“Alright, Ye Tian, you can crawl back to your dirty little hole now,”Song Shi Cheng said in a belittling tone, then turned his head towards Ma Jin Biao.
“Chief Ma, I’ll let you decide whether you want to go with him or to stay here. I won’t trouble you for today because I know you too are a man of status and influence. If you do choose to stay in this ceremony, I might even have a few drinks with you.”
Unlike Ye Tian, who had virtually nothing to threaten Song Shi Cheng with, Ma Jin Biao was someone whom Song Shi Cheng wouldn’t dare having a dispute with just yet.
If he had no one to help him, Song Shi Cheng wasn’t scared of Ye Tian at all. What really mattered were the three Ma brother supporting him from behind. With each of them being in charge of different areas of China’s internet industry, from net commerce, internet entertainment and search engine service respectively, their influence far surpassed that of what the Fenhua group had right now.
As of now, there is absolutely no point in making an enemy out of Mao Jin Biao over something this small!
Seeing that Song Shi Cheng was still willing to show him some respect, Ma Jin Biao was starting to look less grim than before.
“Again, thank your for your tolerance, master Song,” Ma Jin Biao quickly lowered his head, “and please forgive me for for bringing him here today. I’m afraid I can no longer stay here after all the trouble I’ve started, but I do appreciate it if we can have a drink some other times.”
As he said that, Ma Jin Biao grabbed onto Ye Tian’s arm and proceeded to leave. He seemed to have already lost the mood to stay.
However, unlike Ma Jin Biao, who wanted only to leave as fast as he could while his dignity was intact, Ye Tian couldn’t help but to give a final taunt before he was dragged out of the ceremony.
“I won’t let you marry Xiao Yan no matter what! You hear me, Song Shi Cheng? You want to marry her? How about you check between your pants first?”
As he said that with an intense stare towards Song Shi Cheng, Ye Tian suddenly changed the direction of his gaze towards Song Shi Cheng’s lower half of his body.
Now that Ye Tian was at a vast disadvantage, he had no choice but to resort to dirty tactics such as throwing personal attacks at Song Shi Cheng. However, Song Shi Cheng wasn’t embarrassed at all with Ye Tian calling him out for his loss of libido.
Instead of feeling embarrassed, Song Shi Cheng was actually kind of impressed with Ye Tian for coming up a verbal comeback this quickly. Ye Tian knew he couldn’t ruin the marriage between Song Shi Cheng and Chen Xiao Yan, but what he could do was to ruin Song Shi Cheng’s reputation.
Followed by Ye Tian’s call, Ma Jin Biao and the guards looked towards Song Shi Cheng’s pants. It didn’t take them long before realizing what Ye Tian meant when he told Song Shi Cheng to look down there.
Too bad. No matter how smart Ye Tian thought he was, such an attack would only be futile against Song Shi Cheng with both the author’s soul and the counterstrike system possessed inside his body.
To Ye Tian’s surprise, Song Shi Cheng asked calmly to him in response, “You are talking about the needle you gave me, aren’t you?”
‘How the hell did he know that?‘ Ye Tian thought in shock.
He expected Song Shi Cheng to feel uncomfortable, frustrated even. Yet, it seemed that even his final trump card had no effect on Song Shi Cheng whatsoever.
That wasn’t it for Ye Tian, though. In fact, what annoyed him more was yet to come.
Song Shi Cheng began his counterattack as Ye Tian froze in surprise, “Do you honestly think you’re the best doctor in the world? Go figure, dumbass! I’m not so poor that I can’t pay for a few treatments for myself. Hey, if your needles are so potent, why haven’t you received a Nobel Prize yet? Instead of being awarded for you expertise in medicine, why are you dropping so low as to work for the Ma Family?”
Song Shi Cheng continued, “I’ll be clear with you, Ye Tian. It only took me one pill to recover from those pathetic acupuncture techniques you spent your entire life on! One pill! If you don’t believe me, doctor, how about I book a session with you when my fiancé gets pregnant?”
Oh shit, that was a good roast.
Ye Tian’s insult had nothing on what Song Shi Cheng had to say in return. Making fun of a man for his lost libido is quite an effective way to attack him, but what if he tells you that he’s going to make your crush pregnant and let you be the first one to know?
And Song Shi Cheng wasn’t just saying it. He actually had all the opportunities he needed to actually pull it off!
Not only was Ye Tian infuriated with Song Shi Cheng’s words, he was also burdened with the thought that his acupuncture skill had been completely nullified by another person.
It wasn’t as if Ye Tian thought that such a feat was impossible. After all, modern medicine was much more advanced than his thousand years old techniques. What troubled him the most was the thought that his biggest enemy now had nothing to be scared of from.
As Song Shi Cheng didn’t seem like he was bluffing, Ye Tian now had to bear the thought of his beloved Chen Xiao Yan being defiled again.
“Enough!” Ma Jin Biao pulled on Ye Tian’s arm, “Why shame yourself any further when you can find another woman?”
It weren’t for the fact that Ye Tian had saved the life of the head of the Ma Family before, Ma Jin Biao couldn’t care less in being his wingman. In fact, Ma Jin Biao was even beginning to think less of Ye Tian after knowing that he would do something as low as to announce Song Shi Cheng’s lack of libido in front of a crowd.
Ma Jin Biao thought Song Shi Cheng had lost his libido from being with too much women, but it turned out to be nothing more than a dirty move on Ye Tian’s behalf. He used to respect Ye Tian for his virtuous and brave character, but now it turned out that this young man he knew was no different from a low-life trickster who had little control over his own temperament.
Song Shi Cheng shook his head and broke into laughter as he saw Ye Tian being dragged out of the ceremony.
‘So this was the protagonist I made!‘ Song Shi Cheng thought in shame of himself.
Without the author creating scenarios that are advantageous for him, it turned out that Ye Tian would still behave like any third-rate villain when he gets irritated. But to call Song Shi Cheng out for losing his ability to get a hard-on? What a weak, dirty move that was!
And thus, Song Shi Cheng had finally lost the last bit of respect he had spared for his original protagonist. Perhaps it was the right choice to make. The more unlikeable Ye Tian became, the easier it would be for Song Shi Cheng to get rid of him later on.
Another thing. Song Shi Cheng wasn’t bluffing when he said he wasn’t scared of Ye Tian’s medicine skills. How is being good at curing diseases threatening in any way? Even if Ye Tian knew a few harmful techniques like poisoning or handling needles, it wasn’t like Song Shi Cheng couldn’t find better doctors than Ye Tian with the amount of money he had.
Ye Tian used to be the luckiest character of the story, and that was why he got to save rich peoples’ lives all the time. Now that his luck points were slowly taken away by the system itself, Song Shi Cheng really had nothing to be scared of from him.
It might sound self-degrading for Song Shi Cheng to think this since he was the original author of the story, but there wasn’t anything so magical about Chinese medicine in the first place. A lot of urban novels like to portray Chinese medicine practitioners as much superior to Western medicine. Not only were their skills exaggerated to the extent that they could treat any incurable diseases with just a few needles, sometimes the plot becomes so ridiculous that those unlicensed doctors can even resurrect the dead with some herbs that cost a few cents.
In truth, quite a few of those unrealistic scenarios were written because the writers themselves knew nothing of medicine, so best they could was to make up stuff while trying to not sound too ridiculous.
It wasn’t like Song Shi Cheng had the rights to criticize other writers. He himself wrote some scenarios like this just so he could earn a few quick bucks. Unlike some writers, however, Song Shi Cheng didn’t go too crazy when he tried to design the kind of medicine skills Ye Tian would have while he was writing the original story.
Song Shi Cheng was glad he did so, too. If he made Ye Tian to be some kind of overpowered doctor who, like, had the ability to control cancer cells with his herbs, there was no way he could deal with Ye Tian so easily like he had today.
While praising himself for not creating an overpowered protagonist, Song Shi Cheng saw a screen popping up in front of him.
“[Ding! You have received three luck points for having successfully disturbed the former MC’s emotional wellbeing and public image. Please keep up the good work!]
Song Shi Cheng thought, ‘Well, it certainly feels good to humiliate the former protagonist in front of this many people.‘
