The Wall of Brotherhood – 19
Bai Xun suddenly appeared, causing the two people at the scene to be agitated.
Lu Zhi Yao clenched his hands, he stood still, and his voice was a bit dry, “You’re back…”
“Xiao Xun, where have you been? Are you okay?” Lu Zhi Yuan was worried and walked quickly to her.
Bai Xun was still a little hesitant. She gave Lu Zhi Yuan a soothing smile, “I’m fine.”
Looking at Lu Zhi Yao, who stood motionless in the distance, Bai Xun turned pale and softly said, “Is what A’Yuan said true? President?”
Lu Zhi Yao’s eyes flashed slightly, and he didn’t speak.
Bai Xun slowly walked to Lu Zhi Yao that stood there, then looked up at him. There were little droplets of water in her eyes, like fine crystals, which looked as if they would fall in a blink of an eye.
“I have always regarded president as a role model during my struggles. Every word the president said, I have taken it as the standard. Only strong people could be fearless of rumors. The president has helped me so much that I can’t figure out how to repay…”
She whispered softly, trying to smile, but the tears kept falling.
“…But, it was all to deceive me? ….Was it to use me to deal with A’Yuan?”
She said these words with difficulty, the facts were in front of her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at him, wanting an answer.
“No.” Lu Zhi Yao blurted out a little eagerly but paused. His voice was awkward. “All those words I said to you are true, and…”
Bai Xun shook her head and interrupted him. She didn’t want to listen to this. She asked emotionally, “Did you send my design draft to others?”
Lu Zhi Yao reached out unconsciously to wipe her tears, but his action stopped. She stared at him with watery eyes, which made his heart disorderly for the first time.
He didn’t want to lie to her anymore, but if he answered…
His face was cold and his heart uncomfortable, and his silent expression was equivalent to acquiescence.
Bai Xun’s tears fell. She suddenly raised her hand and slapped him with a cold tearful voice—
“Liar!”
The clear slap echoed in the office and shocked everyone present.
Bai Xun’s palm was a little sore, which was enough to show how much strength she used. But she had a sad expression, which was much more painful.
“I’ll never see you again!” She seemed to be emotionally unstable. Bai Xun turned and raised her hands, running away while wiping her tears.
Mom, it was so cool! It was exciting to run after she hit! She wanted to hit her brother’s big mouth a few weeks ago!
Lu Zhi Yao couldn’t return to his senses. He has never been beaten before, in those days in his childhood, he was scolded and beaten by others, but it never scared or hurt him…it only made him stronger.
But just now…how could Bai Xun’s slap be so painful? But it was like his heart was beaten, it was too painful that he couldn’t breathe.
He was dispirited as he waved everyone to retreat. Even though he successfully controls the Lu family now, he was a little confused and at a loss.
He never cared for a person like this.
Lu Zhi Yao affection was at 95%.
……
On the other side, as soon as Bai Xun ran out of the office, Huang Yanran ran after her, closely followed by Lu Zhi Yuan.
He ran faster and quickly caught up with Bai Xun. He reached out and held her wrist and pulled people to the side of the road. “Xiao Xun, don’t run around on the road, it’s too dangerous.”
As he said this, he looked at Bai Xun again, a little relieved, “Xiao Xun, where have you been these past two days? Why didn’t you answer your phone?”
He frowned and eagerly asked, but Bai Xun didn’t respond at all.
She looked as if she poured cold water on Lu Zhi Yuan’s eager confrontation. He was discontent, “Was it because of Lu Zhi Yao?”
Hearing the name, Bai Xun looked back at him and murmured, “He lied to me…”
The voice wasn’t big, but these words made Lu Zhi Yuan stunned.
He felt pain in his heart, and said in a low voice, “…do you like him?”
Bai Xun still had tears on her cheeks, and when she heard the words, she looked up at him with a dazed expression, “What?”
“If you don’t like him, then why are you so sad?” Lu Zhi Yuan stared at her with deep eyes.
Bai Xun shook her head, as if thinking of something sad and was a little emotional, “It doesn’t matter whether I like him or not. I regarded him as my best friend and teacher, but he lied to me! Didn’t he know how important the designs were to me?”
Lu Zhi Yuan had a flash of joy from the bottom of his eyes. He reached out his hand and held Bai Xun’s shoulder. He seriously said, “In this case, Xiao Xun, let’s get back together.”
Bai Xun was stunned, “You…”
Lu Zhi Yuan was afraid to hear a general rejection and hurriedly said, “I don’t mind the past. Let’s not talk about it again, okay? Come with me to country M. I have to go right away if my father is seriously ill. You can rest assure that I have my own business there and still have a lot of money….”1
Bai Xun looked at Lu Zhi Yuan as if he had returned to his appearance of that little boy from three years ago, where was the tough and fierce man she just saw.
She still cried, but she wanted to laugh.
What is this little fool thinking? She almost couldn’t cry!
Huang Yanran also caught up. Of course, she heard Lu Zhi Yuan’s words, but her first thought in her mind wasn’t Lu Zhi Yuan taking her away, but if Bai Xun agreed.
There were two reactions that were the same and different.
The results were the same, but the people who cared were different.
Huang Yanran clenched her fingers and stared fixedly at Bai Xun with Lu Zhi Yuan. It wasn’t until Bai Xun shook her head slightly that she was relieved.
“…I’m sorry, A’Yuan.”
Five million, five million! How could they possibly go abroad together! His father would be furious when he saw her!
Lu Zhi Yuan seemed to be drained of all his strength at once, even though he didn’t showed weakness in front of Lu Zhi Yao before. He bitterly said, “Why? …Have you never liked me?”
Bai Xun gritted her teeth and didn’t speak.
Huang Yanran actually knew, she knew everything, but she didn’t want to say.
In the past, she tried to erase her image in Lu Zhi Yuan’s heart, but now…she didn’t want to give them a chance to be together.
Bai Xun’s silent appearance gave Lu Zhi Yuan the answer. He slowly released his hand and took two steps back. “That’s good…”
He left in despair and Bai Xun’s suppressed tears fell.
She crouched slowly—hugging herself and burying her head in her arms.
Huang Yanran was originally relieved, but she was a little anxious when she saw her sad appearance.
She slowly stepped forward, pulled people up and hugged them. “Well, I live alone. You don’t have anywhere to go. Why don’t you go to my place first?”
Bai Xun was naturally picked up by Huang Yanran again.
She didn’t know if she cried a lot, but she was in a daze with a blank face.
She obediently let Huang Yanran help her wash her hair, dry it, then be wrapped in a quilt.
Huang Yanran wasn’t happy. She was the eldest daughter of an affluent family, she has never done such things as serving people on her own initiative?
But she looked at Bai Xun’s pale face and couldn’t get angry at all.
She pulled Bai Xun’s white and tender cheek and rubbed it gently. “Well, don’t think about those troublesome things anymore. Our Huang family isn’t as good as the Lu family, but our design department isn’t small. You can come here and become a designer.”
Bai Xun was moved and turned to Huang Yanran. She buried herself in the other’s fragrant and soft arms, then dumbly said: “Yanran, I only have you. You won’t lie to me, right?”2
“I…” Huang Yanran was flustered for a moment, then she raised her hand to ring for the meal.
She lied to her too much…but she won’t let someone know.
Huang Yanran patted her back gently and smiled gently, “I won’t lie to Xiao Xun.”
Bai Xun was gleaming with tears: Sister Huang, don’t court death! You’ll get a slap on the face!
