Chapter 562: Chapter 556: The Impressive Aircraft
But if you were to compare it with air vehicles on Earth, this small spaceship with a wingspan of more than 220 meters, a front-back length of over 170 meters, and a height of over 30 meters, is a colossus. Finn Lewis’s purchase of the world’s largest passenger plane, the Sky Crane a380, made by the Sky Crane company, only has a wingspan a third of this, its length is less than half, and it’s height is down near 10 meters. The most important thing is, these two things can accommodate aren’t even in the same league.
Moreover, this is a spaceship, while that is just an airplane. The former can fly in space, and surely isn’t slow, but can an airplane really fly in space?
Although he was a little upset at first, upon seeing this, Finn Lewis felt that his little unhappiness had been thrown out into thin air. Although he didn’t know where the spaceships had gone, having one of these was more than enough. If Finn was to exchange such a small spaceship now, it would cost him at least tens of millions of points. As it stands, the points he currently held were now the closest to ten million.
“Can this be transported outside? Will its structure still be able to fly?” Finn asked eagerly, knowing that this small spaceship had been around for more than ten thousand years.
“The hangar is in a vacuum preservation state and its materials are very advanced. Of course, it has started to age, but there shouldn’t be any issues with flying. The issue is with storage – while it has been kept in storage for more than ten thousand years and can still fly, when it starts to fly again, it can likely only fly for another ten to several decades,” Dido replied.
“That’s good enough, get it out, I want to take a spin in space.” Finn rubbed his hands together, speaking in an excited manner.
“I don’t mind you getting it out and executing flight operations.” A cold voice echoed in Finn’s mind. It was Zeros. Finn was taken aback, then couldn’t help asking, “Why?”
“Sir, are you talking to me?” Dido’s voice inquired.
“No, I’m just communicating with someone else,” Finn waved his hand dismissively.
“The reason is very simple. Have you forgotten about the person who wants to kill you? If you are on Earth, they would have some reservations about targeting you, but if you fly into space, it will be all too easy for them to take you out by simply damaging the spaceship. You can’t seriously think that something that has been stored for over ten thousand years will still perform at its best?” Zero’s voice lacked any hint of emotion, but it threw cold water on Finn’s excitement.
Finn had indeed overlooked this detail. After thinking about it, it rang true. Given the alien’s battle power, let alone the person who appeared later, it was simply too easy to destroy the entire spaceship. They could simply install a few bombs. Even without bombs, their weapons were extremely advanced; whether or not the spaceship could withstand their attacks was certainly an unknown.
Spaceships are delicate objects. Even flinging an iron chunk into the engine could result in grave consequences, particularly when the opposition is directly targeting him.
“That’s just one of many reasons. If you have a spaceship, it will obviously attract their attention, as this is clearly not a technology from Earth. They are limited to only making moves on Earth, but if you leave Earth, you will no longer be protected by these restrictions. They don’t even need to get close to you; they could kill you with a single shot from afar,” Zero added.
“Alright, I get it, you don’t need to dampen my spirits. There shouldn’t be any major issues with the satellite, right?” Finn spoke with a forced smile.
“The satellite also needs to be disguised, as this is within my protection range. I can provide the disguise for free,” Zero stated directly.
“Alright, I got it,” Finn said in resignation. “Then let’s get the satellite out first. Hand it over to Zero. Is it large? Does it need to be sealed?”
“No need for sealing. It can go directly into the seawater. However, it is not large, so transportation is convenient,” Dido responded.
Soon, Finn discovered what ‘not large’ meant. The satellite was only the size of a child aged between three and four and was cylindrical in shape. It needed to be transported out and disguised by Zero. But Zero should be able to camouflage it quickly. Aside from this, there didn’t seem to be anything else interesting here. Nonetheless, this indicated that Finn had turned the entirety of Floral Island into a huge fortress where nobody could lay a finger on him.
After the plan was set, Finn went to find Kay Lee, and naturally, wined and dined her.
He couldn’t help but say, Cloud Mist Tea was really a good thing. It was Finn’s first time discovering the benefits of Cloud Mist Tea. Kay Lee had been constantly drinking it, and her body had been fine-tuned to the best condition by the tea. Despite her body not appearing as robust as Finn’s, her healthy body displayed an incredible recovery rate.
At least she was able to keep up with Finn’s nightly enthusiasm, not succumbing at all. Cloud Mist Tea had undoubtedly contributed a lot. Finn’s energy was not something an ordinary man could match. Most importantly, Cloud Mist Tea could adjust a person’s physical condition to their optimal state, which only spelled one word for Finn: bliss.
However, it also validated the fact that when a woman’s recovery ability is strong, men don’t stand a chance. There are only cows that get worn out, and no fields that get plowed out. For these several months, Finn had cleared his schedule for Kay. He felt guilty towards her as, having finally won her over, he had spent barely any time with her, always being busy.
After closing the door of the bedroom, Finn asked, “What is it?”
“Sir, it’s about time you got busy too. You’ve been playing around here for three months,” Olivia Thatcher responded, seemingly exasperated.
“What do you mean, ‘playing for three months?’”, Finn frowned, “What I’m doing is a three-month baby-making campaign, okay?”
“Well, it’s like this, sir. Nicolas Tesla is now 28 years old. Do you have any plans for him? We have not interfered with his life trajectory in any way, and according to the plans of Lewis Senior and Wise Lewis, he has learned almost all he needs to know and is now entering a phase of increased wisdom,” Olivia quickly responded.
Nicolas Tesla, Finn was suddenly reminded of this name: Nicolas Tesla, one of the pioneers of modern electromagnetism, arguably even more influential than Albert Ainsworth. While Ainsworth was a theoretical physicist, Tesla laid the foundations of modern electromagnetic physics, and he made countless inventions throughout his lifetime.
