The day flew past quickly and the ship’s lights turned on to illuminate it at night.
Yu Chu yawned and traces of sleepiness infiltrated her consciousness.
She flipped another page of the photo album as she turned around to lie on the bed. She then placed her elbow under her head.
“Is living underwater fun?”
The man lying next to her turned around to look at her. A smile appeared in his icy blue eyes and he blinked. “I guess,” he replied softly.
Yu Chu felt a little gloomy as she turned around. “You must be comforting me. I really feel like going underwater to take a look but I can’t breathe in the water.”
An Moer gazed at her back.
A few seconds later, he retracted his gaze and it landed on the album in his hands. His fair fingers traced the picture of a building gently as he murmured,
“I want to go on land too.”
He sounded as if he was comforting the girl who was gloomy.
Initially, Yu Chu hadn’t noticed anything amiss, but she suddenly turned around and said,
“Don’t go to land, An Moer.”
The young man paused, and a moment later, he continued to flip through the album as though nothing had happened. His long and thick eyelashes lowered as he questioned her,
“Why?”
His voice was soft and he sounded as though he were just asking a random question. Yu Chu deliberated before she answered sternly,
“Land isn’t as fun as the ocean and there are many bad guys on land. A person as beautiful as you will encounter many kinds of danger.”
The man flipped to another page as he asked casually, “What kind of danger?”
“Humans like beautiful people. If they see you, they might snatch you to hide at home.”
Yu Chu was trying to scare him.
In the original plot, the little mermaid…
Her heart was aching…
Every step the mermaid takes would feel as though she were walking on sharp blades.
The man’s exquisite face turned to face her. “How about you, then? Do you like beautiful people? Would you want to steal them and hide them at home?”
Yu Chu replied, “Of course I wouldn’t.”
The little mermaid puffed his fair cheeks and didn’t reply. He turned his head to continue looking at the photos. He said,
“But you want to go underwater. Isn’t it normal for me to want to explore on land?”
Yu Chu sighed and decided to be patient. Hence, she asked, “Why do you want to go on land?”
An Moer paused. Yu Chu raised her eyebrows as she studied the man’s side profile. All traces of expression seemed to have vanished.
However, he turned around with a warm, adorable smile. He was breathtakingly gorgeous as he winked at her. She could almost see an ocean dancing in his beautiful eyes.
“Lai En, are you sleepy?”
“Huh?” I…” Yu Chu was taken aback and she was about to answer. However, a wave of sleepiness washed over her and she couldn’t open her eyes. “I…”
An Moer grinned as he watched the girl close her eyes, breathing steadily. The whirlpools in his icy blue eyes died down slowly.
He put the book down and gently lifted the girl’s hair from her cheek. He grinned lazily at her.
“Why do I want to go to land?”
He stroked a picture in the album with his long and fair fingers.
His originally cold-looking blue eyes seemed to billow like the gentle waves of the ocean instantly.
The beautiful young man tilted his head and murmured softly, “Because Lai En… An Moer likes you the most.”
