The date of the wedding engagement was fast approaching but Yu Chu had plenty of free time.
She planned to meet the little mermaid for the last time when she went out to sea next. She didn’t have much time left in this world. And she would probably depart after the wedding.
However, when she met him that time… She had no idea why she fell asleep in the end.
When she woke up, the young man had vanished so she didn’t have the chance to bid him goodbye.
Yu Chu sighed.
She watched her reflection in the mirror.
She saw a golden-haired prince dressed in formal clothes, looking valiant and dashing staring right back at her.
A maid entered the castle and bowed before him. “Your majesty, the evening ball is about to start.”
Yu Chu nodded at her. “Got it.”
It was the day of her wedding engagement to Princess Dai Linnuo. She would definitely have to be present at the evening ball tonight.
The young and handsome prince entered the dance hall and everyone’s attention was drawn to him. Princess Dai Linnuo blushed as she welcomed him. She then wound her arm around the prince’s arm.
The entire hall was a dazzling and splendid sight. The prince and princess were about to enter the dance floor when suddenly, they heard a commotion. Someone inhaled softly and everyone’s attention was diverted to outside of the hall.
Someone walked in slowly from outside of the hall.
Initially Yu Chu didn’t pay much notice. However, Princess Dai Linnuo, who was beside her, covered her mouth with her hand. She looked as though she had glimpsed something unimaginable.
Yu Chu raised an eyebrow and glanced towards the outside of the hall.
She widened her eyes in shock and was completely frozen to the spot. The newcomer walked in slowly.
It was a lady. A ravishingly beautiful lady.
Her head was slightly bowed and she was clad in a simple, light blue gown. The gown revealed her fair wrist and fingers. Her eyelashes were thick and long and they concealed a pair of blue eyes. Her lips resembled flower petals and her expression was composed. She slowly raised her eyes.
It was dead quiet in the hall as everyone had been shocked by her breathtaking beauty. They gazed at her long, light blue locks, a pair of gorgeous sparkling eyes and her slender fair neck…
Yu Chu jerked her arm free from Princess Dai Linnuo abruptly. She felt as though her heart were about to leap out of her chest.
No one amongst the dumbfounded crowd had noticed something amiss with the prince. Only Dai Linnuo blinked gently, as though she had just comprehended something.
Yu Chu raised her legs to walk towards An Moer. However, he smiled as he gazed at her. The golden-haired prince froze on the spot when her eyes met An Moer’s icy blue eyes.
She watched as he strode in step by step.
An Moer maintained a faint smile.
The witch’s hoarse voice echoed in her ears.
She had said,
“You will endure agonizing suffering forever.”
The slender and beautiful girl curtsied quietly without uttering a word. She extended her hand to the prince in front of her.
“You will never speak again.”
The prince nodded stiffly.
A smile flitted across An Moer’s eyes as he extended his hand to hold her. He could feel her fingers on his waist and his eyes were gleaming brightly.
“From now on…”
The young lady took a small step forward. She was taller than the prince who was wearing high heeled buckled boots. She bent slightly, and despite her slender figure, her exquisite features were alight with a smile. It gave off a vaguely gentle and affectionate illusion.
“Every step you take…”
That was the most beautiful dance anyone had ever seen.
The ravishing lady danced with such breathtaking grace and poise with every step she took. A faint smile which resembled riotous vanishing bubbles, remained on her face all this time.
“Will feel as if you’re walking on knife blades…”
