The billowing, violent waves were making it difficult to stay afloat. Yu Chu cast the question about the wedding night away. She choked on the seawater.
The surface of the ocean resembled deep frowns as the strong winds blew across it. The water was deep blue and the waves rolled strongly, producing white bubbles. Dark, thick clouds covered the sky and a black line could be seen along the ocean’s horizon. As time went by, the line expanded into a massive black erect wall.
“System, I’m going to be swallowed by a tsunami.”
The system seemed to be gloating. “Don’t worry. The little mermaid will save you.”
Yu Chu was about to reply when the ocean’s surface moved wildly. She was washed away by huge, strong waves and dragged beneath the surface. A moment later, her head bobbed out of the waves as she clung on to the plank. This repeated several times and Yu Chu was exhausted.
“Why isn’t she…”
The system suddenly interjected, “Look!”
With an unexplainable tinge of melancholy, Yu Chu squinted her eyes as she raised her head.
She spotted a slender figure a distance away. The figure cut a beautiful straight line from beneath the ocean’s surface as she swam towards Yu Chu.
The ocean’s surface was rough as the choppy and violent waves slapped against the reefs. The scene looked as though it were the end of the world but it hardly affected the lone figure. She swam through the dangerous waters agilely.
Yu Chu deliberated for a moment. ‘The prince was saved while he was unconscious. Should I pretend to faint?’
The system answered, “To prevent any confusion or disorder that might arise due to the changes in the plot, perhaps you should pretend to faint.”
The golden-haired prince collected himself before closing his eyes without further ado. He tilted his neck and bent over the plank, feigning unconsciousness. The slender figure soon made its way to Yu Chu. The water rippled and swirled around her body, causing her to sway.
She held her breath.
The person paused for a moment and swam away as though she hadn’t seen anything.
Yu Chu, who was waiting for the little mermaid to save her, was at a loss for words.
What happened to the plot? She hadn’t changed the storyline so why was it different?
She finally couldn’t help but open her eyes. She yelled at the figure, “Hey! Hold on!”
What greeted her eyes was icy blue hair. Her long hair was like a waterfall, covering her entire slender back.
A pair of fair and slender arms cut across the ocean’s surface and her exquisite blue tail moved in the water. She finally stopped when she heard Yu Chu’s voice.
Yu Chu didn’t have time to admire the wonderful, breathtaking sight before her as she struggled to keep herself afloat.
“Help!”
She only managed to utter a word before the waves washed over her once more, dragging her beneath the surface.
The little mermaid turned her head.
Yu Chu, with much difficulty, held on to the plank as she floated to the surface once more. She gazed into a pair of icy blue eyes.
Her face was exquisite and tiny and her blue eyes were pure and shining. The color of her eyes were as clear as the ocean.
A child of the ocean would naturally possess beauty.
However, Yu Chu wasn’t in the mood to admire her beauty as she widened her eyes. Dazed, she stared at her chest.
It was flat. But being flat-chested wasn’t like this…
Could it be that this beautiful, slender figure… was a boy?
