The oldest amongst them, a being called number one, chuckled in amusement. “Number three, I hate to tell you this but it’s another thing to bring a girl here. To begin with, you need to have one.”
Zhou Lin sighed in despair and he shut up.
Both his roommates roared with laughter mercilessly while Su Yanbai sat on the corner of the couch. He pressed his lips together lightly and kept quiet.
After Yu Chu finished her mission, she thanked him politely. At the other party’s enthusiastic insistence, he added her as his friend in the game. She then checked the time on her watch.
Because Tang Mo refused to come home, her family was worried about him and so the proprietor had to stay here. The proprietor had taken up a delivery job. The pay wasn’t much but if she scrimped and saved it would sustain her expenses for two months.
Tang Mo didn’t stay with her, actually. He only appeared when he needed money from her.

Yu Chu wore a casual outfit and found a baseball cap from the wardrobe. She tied her hair up in a ponytail and rode her bicycle to work.
The summer sun was blazing ferociously. The proprietor had fair skin and she began to get sunburnt.
Yu Chu was thinking of getting sunblock while she sized up the surroundings.
She thought that it would be wise for her to quit this delivery job as soon as possible. Because the proprietor was a university student, she should be able to earn more if she were to start tutoring students instead. She stopped her bicycle and mopped the sweat off her forehead.
This massive area was on the outskirts of the city and had many mansions. It was an expensive, private residential area. Yu Chu held the food containers in her hands, feeling puzzled.
Why would wealthy people order takeaway? She glanced at the pizzas. It wasn’t expensive food. Looking at the delivery address stated on the order form, Yu Chu managed to locate it quickly. She stood on the steps as she pressed the doorbell.
The doorbell rang clearly outside the door and the man placed his laptop down. A pair of beautiful eyes glanced in the direction of the door. He raised his exquisite eyebrows and asked, “Food delivery?”
Zhou Lin immediately complimented him when he heard him. “You’re truly a master. Your guess is correct.”
Number two’s fingers were still flying across the keyboard as he interjected, “Master Su, you haven’t tried food delivery, right? Today, we as your older brothers, will treat you. The food from this place is good, trust me.”
Number one nodded in agreement. “Yeah! Isn’t your cook away today? It’s a hassle to eat out.”
Number three chimed in smoothly, “Master Su, since you are free, open the door. I’m busy slaying this monster!”
Su Yanbai shut his laptop and didn’t bother to respond. He stood up and walked to the door. He opened the door and the glaring sunlight caused him to squint at the girl standing outside the door.
She had a cap on and held out the food when the door opened. She raised her head as she said,
“Hi, here are the pizzas…”
Before she could finish her sentence, she widened her eyes suddenly.
The system’s voice echoed in her mind. “Identification is complete. Activating Master’s strategic method.”
She stared blankly at the person before her.
His white shirt was as dazzling as snow in the sunlight. He was tall and he had soft black hair. His beautiful eyes sparkled like jewels as he watched her quietly. Then his gaze landed on the food containers as he reached out to receive it.
Yu Chu snapped to her senses when he took the food from her. She bowed her head and pressed her lips together.
The expression in his eyes… was so unfamiliar…
The man’s eyes trailed to the girl who seemed to have froze. Calmly, he asked as he received the food from her. “Anything else?”
Yu Chu shook her head. “Nothing…”
He then averted his gaze and shut the door.
