Chapter 41: Innocent Online Game Master (Part 17)
Lin Xinxin thought arrogantly in her heart as she stared at the keyboard. The words she typed and the expression she had on were entirely different.
In the private chat, Hera’s Apple typed, ‘Ah Mo, are you really free? It’s fine if you aren’t. We can do it later.’
The reply was instantaneous.
In the private chat, A Setting Sun In a Long River replied, ‘I’m free! I’m free! Where are you at now? I’m coming.’
Lin Xinxin grinned in amusement.
He is really suitable to be a spare tire, she thought in her heart.
…
In a flash, more than 10 days had passed.
Yu Chu could be considered a forging expert now.
At this rate, she would need at most a week to perfect her forging skills. She would then become the first forging master in the game.
When the time came, even if she was just a blacksmith, she could play the game with her head held high. Of course, other than the system’s help, Yu Chu wanted to thank Master S for providing her with the materials needed for her to hone her forging skills so quickly.
Sometimes, he would accompany and help her fight the beasts. Other times, he would send her some gifts. He was cold and also a man of few words, but Yu Chu didn’t fear him. She would often ask him questions and watched as he replied to her questions one after another, making her spirit soar.
They quickly became close but their face-to-face time had decreased. Although she didn’t quit her delivery job, Master’s friends didn’t order food to his place every day. After an entire week, she finally saw that familiar address once more. The girl’s lips curled into a tiny smile as she glanced at the food in her hands.
After completing her other deliveries, she held the container as she entered the familiar neighborhood. She walked up to Master’s door and pressed the doorbell. After some time, someone opened the door slowly.
The young man frowned slightly and his long eyebrows were lowered and they covered his eyes. His fair cheeks were slightly red and his lips were pale. Yu Chu was taken aback for a moment as she watched him extend his hand for the food. He raised his beautiful eyes to glance at her.
She hesitated for some time before she asked, “Are you unwell?”
Su Yanbai froze for a moment. He raised a long hand and touched the back of his hand to his forehead. His long eyelashes drooped.
With a slightly hoarse voice he said, “Maybe…”
Before he could finish speaking, the girl before him suddenly tip-toed up to him and pulled his hand away. Her hand naturally went to his forehead and she furrowed her eyebrows. The man gazed at her.
He was tall and he looked gorgeous in a white shirt. If he didn’t bend his body, the girl had to get on her tippy toes and stretch her fingers to touch his forehead. She blinked as she gazed at him.
“You have a fever.”
She retracted her hand and asked casually, “Did you take medicine?”
“No.” The man blinked lightly and his eyelashes fluttered. He pressed his petal-like lips together and suddenly, giddiness hit him. He stretched his hand to grab the door for support.
His exquisite eyebrows were knitted tightly together and locks of soft black hair fell and swayed, hiding his eyes in the process. His fingers were long and fair as he clenched the door. Despite that, he was as beautiful as a painting as he stood in the sunlight.
The system hadn’t lied to her. He was really gorgeous.
She extended her hand and took the food container from him. She then gripped his arm gently. “Are you alright?”
Su Yanbai caught a hint of her scent. He raised his beautiful eyes. He froze for a moment and the flush on his exquisite features deepened.
He gently nodded.
“I’ll help you inside,” she said.
