She hadn’t expected him to admit his identity without any hesitation and it surprised Yu Chu. After some time, she widened her eyes and then revealed a belated ‘surprised’ expression.

“Oh! That’s a coincidence! You are Master S? Then you know me! I’m Meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeow!”

She said meow seven times in one long breath. After she finished, she suddenly felt embarrassed and hence she coughed. She pressed her lips and grinned. “The other names were all taken up and I didn’t know what name to use so…”

The man’s eyelashes fluttered as he bent his head. She couldn’t see the expression on his face.

After a moment of silence, his slightly cold, deep voice rang out pleasantly, “It’s rather cute.”

Yu Chu was stunned. Was he… complimenting her? She studied the man before her with surprise. Su Yanbai raised his eyes to meet hers calmly. His face was expressionless and she couldn’t tell if he was complimenting or comforting her.

As they weren’t familiar with each other, Yu Chu could only interpret it as he was comforting her. So she hung her head bashfully.

She deliberated before she responded.

“Oh yeah, thank you for helping me get those materials. I’ve almost perfected my forging skills.”

The man halted momentarily and his inky black eyes seemed to be billowing. Coolly, he replied, “You’re welcome.”

His voice was a little hoarse and deep, perhaps due to his sickness. His usual cold and aloof voice had become deeper and it produced an illusion of gentleness and softness.

Yu Chu’s ears went limp at his voice. She took the bowl from him and rose. “Do you want more? There is some more in the kitchen.”

Su Yanbai shook his head slightly. Yu Chu then took the bowl and went downstairs. She entered the kitchen and began to wash the bowl and cutlery. Then she placed them neatly into the disinfection cabinet.

Then she stood there in a reverie. This world… He appeared to be a collected and composed man.

He seemed to come from a wealthy family because he acted like an elegant young master. If she were to be with him, would she be slapped by a check from his family as what always happened in the dramas? Yu Chu blinked and pressed her lips together. She was looking forward to it. After all, the proprietor was in need of money.

She decided not to sell him for less than five million yuan. If it was more than that, then she would sell him.

She thought to herself in a daze and was amused. She turned and went up the stairs to bid him goodbye. When she entered his bedroom, her gaze fell on the spacious bed and her voice got stuck instantly. Perhaps it was because he had taken medicine.

The man had shut his eyes and his breathing was regular. Stray locks of hair fell across his forehead and he was fast asleep. He wasn’t guarded against her at all. How could he sleep so soundly with a stranger at home? She walked softly across the room. Then she gazed at him as she bent over the edge of the bed. Her heart had softened into a puddle.

She gently stroked his soft black hair which was slightly cold to her touch. Below his exquisite eyebrows were a pair of feathery long eyelashes. She admired his sharp nose, beautiful lips, and fair cheeks.

Yu Chu sighed aloud. Forget it.

She wouldn’t sell him no matter how much she was offered.

She pressed her lips together and grinned. She stood up and suddenly bent her back. She then pressed her palms beside the man’s pillow.

Her soft lips gently landed on the man’s good-looking lips and she gave him a light peck.

His breath had a lingering scent.

The girl straightened her back.

It was the first time Yu Chu had done something scandalous like this. She clasped a hand over her mouth and coughed softly. Her eyes darted around uneasily as she stole a glance at the man sleeping peacefully.

She picked up her cap and pressed it against her head. She then hastily departed and closed the door after her. She had escaped.
