Yu Chu carried him to her bedroom. She introduced some interesting things along the way before she placed him on her bed. She grinned and said, “This is where humans sleep. Come, you can feel it.”
An Moer blinked as he watched the girl pull a blanket over him. Half of his face was beneath the blanket and his sharp nose caught a pleasant scent: Lai En’s scent.
His icy blue eyes twinkled.
Yu Chu sat down beside him. “Where do you live in the ocean?”
An Moer’s blue hair fell on the pillow as he tilted his head. “In a shell. It’s very soft.”
He suddenly had a whim to bring her to his home. He could bring her to see the beautiful coral reefs, the majestic schools of fish, the garden, and castle. They were splendid sights.
However, humans couldn’t live underwater.
Other than not being able to breathe… The water pressure could make a human body explode.
He bent his head to conceal the flash of gloominess in his blue eyes. He glanced at the girl’s fingers for some time. He suddenly raised his head and asked softly, “Lai En, will you come out to the ocean often?”
Yu Chu was startled and she hesitated. She shook her head and replied honestly, “I don’t think so. There are many things to be done on land and I won’t have time to go out to sea.”
A pair of blue eyes was gazing intently on her and her heart softened. She stroked his hair and said, “But since I made a good friend at sea, I will definitely come here often.”
The young man pressed his lips and finally smiled.
His smile was adorable and innocent and he looked like a pure angel with his exquisite looks. Yu Chu passed him a slice of cake and beamed at him. “Do you want to try this? I love this rose cake. It’s really sweet.”
She loved it…
An Moer obediently opened his mouth and took a small bite. His thin lips accidentally touched the girl’s fingers and both of them were startled.
It was as though an electric current had coursed through the young man’s body. His beautiful face turned red and he swallowed the cake. He turned his face and muttered, “Hmmm… It’s sweet.”
The soft touch of his lips lingered on the tips of Yu Chu’s fingers. When she noticed that the little mermaid’s ears had turned red, she couldn’t help but grin.
Yu Chu accompanied the little mermaid till night fell as she introduced him to the world of humans. She avoided the others and brought him to the side of the ship.
An Moer leapt into the water and thrashed his beautiful tail. He raised his head to gaze at the girl.
He asked hesitantly, “Will you be here tomorrow?”
Yu Chu hesitated momentarily before she nodded. “Yeah, I will stay here at sea for a couple of days. If you have the time, you can visit me.”
An Moer’s eyes blinked gently before he turned around to dive into the water. His icy blue hair rippled in the water as he vanished.
…
Since that day, Yu Chu went out to sea every other day to meet her ‘good friend’.
She was developing a strong friendship with the little mermaid. From their interactions, the little mermaid seemed to approve of her.
And this kind of approval, according to observation, was either kinship or affection.
Yu Chu had firmly believed so.
She had bound herself to the system as she traveled everywhere to collect fragments of Master’s soul. It had never occurred to her that she would ever develop a romantic relationship with her beloved and respected master.
