Chapter 493: Ji Family’s Medal No. 194, Miss Bai’s Rank_3
Every advantage has its disadvantage, and with it come problems; netizens began to doubt the authority of the Xingyi Martial Arts School.
Ming Dongheng watched the video and frowned.
“Why do you keep repeating this video?” Xu Nanjing looked over at Ming Dongheng.
“I’ve invested in this martial arts school.” Ming Dongheng was typing out comments seriously, explaining that the hall master of the Xingyi Martial Arts School was a senior teacher, just that he hadn’t taken any ranking exams before.
No sooner had he posted it than a bunch of trolls started flaming him.
Xu Nanjing, with his legs crossed in a lordly manner, had listened several times. To him, this type of business battle was nothing special, “It’s simple. Just find a master and put them in the position of teacher at your school.”
Next to him, Xiao Bingwen also explained, “Mr. Ming, you should ask Miss Beixuan – doesn’t the Chen Family have someone from Dongwu? Their martial arts should be very good, or you can invite your teacher to come out.”
Ming Dongheng gave him a glance and kept silent; their suggestions were really too simplistic.
Xiao Bingwen was referring to Yu Hongyi; Ming Dongheng furrowed his brow, not planning to ask her.
As for his teacher…
Ming Dongheng was even more helpless; his teacher wasn’t paying him any attention at all now.
However…
Ming Dongheng looked ahead.

After a while, Bai Lian came downstairs.
Jiang Fulai was not there today, and Jiang He hadn’t returned either, so Bai Lian didn’t plan to stay any longer.
“Sister Bai Lian,” Xu Nanjing pointed at the teapot on the table with a smile, “Xiaoming especially brewed this tea for you. Won’t you have a cup first?”
Bai Lian halted in her steps, clad in a linen-colored top and black trousers. The sun was about to set, casting golden rays of light on the tips of her hair and her clothes.
She looked towards the gazebo, pondering for a moment before walking this way.
Ming Dongheng hurriedly poured her a cup of tea.
Bai Lian sat beside him with a stack of papers in her hand, newly printed literature that was still warm.
Her wrist casually rested on the table as she took the tea Ming Dongheng handed to her with her other hand.
Xiao Bingwen looked at the thick stack of papers curled in Bai Lian’s hand. He didn’t make out what it was, only glimpsing lines and numbers through the sheets, “What is this?”
He remembered Bai Lian hadn’t been carrying anything when she arrived.
“Printed materials,” Bai Lian replied languidly.
“You came all this way just to print materials?” Xu Nanjing was sitting on the other side, looking at the papers in Bai Lian’s hand.
Bai Lian sipped her tea and casually said, “Yes, it’s safer here.”
“Pfft, what part of Xiangcheng isn’t safe?” Xu Nanjing laughed, while Xiao Bingwen also seemed to be taken aback into silence.
Bai Lian gave a languid smile.
The literature she was looking at had been sent to her by a member of the Ma Institute, containing lots of experimental data, some of which were classified. The scholar trusted her greatly, hence she usually printed them at Jiang Fulai’s place.
Printing shops outside required file copying onto their computers, which wasn’t secure.
Once Bai Lian finished her tea, she picked up the literature and stood up to bid them farewell.
Ming Dongheng stood up before Xu Nanjing, his key already in hand, “Miss Bai, let me drive you home.”
“Never mind,” Bai Lian was about to decline when she saw Ming Dongheng hesitate. She thought for a moment and then said, “You can take me to the bus station.”
Behind them, Xu Nanjing was somewhat speechless at Xiaoming’s quick action.
In the car, as the bus station drew closer, Ming Dongheng had a stern face and seemed hesitant to speak.
In the back seat, Bai Lian was flipping through the literature, not even lifting her head, “Speak.”
Ming Dongheng slowed down and stopped the car; this time he didn’t hesitate and just asked directly, “Miss Bai, what rank are you in martial arts?”
