“Ah, who is that…” Jian Sangyu got startled and then saw the caller on the cell-phone screen. Sure enough, it was from Gu Chen. She burst out instantly, “I am at home!”
She had just finished the training of the afternoon and the figure training and physical training were the most exhausting of all. Therefore, she picked up the cell-phone from the closet before she checked who the caller was. Unexpectedly, she received a call from Gu Chen!
“Hehe.” Gu Chen snorted. “Jian Sangyu, you are not at home. I am at home.”
Gu Chen swept away the dust on the sofa and said in a freezing cold voice, “How long have you been away from home, Jian Sangyu?”
Having said the words, Gu Chen added. “Do not even think about lying, I can check the records from the security guard.”
Jian Sangyu was so startled that she became transfixed whilst standing at the door of the training room.
So Gu Chen liked dropping home without any notification?
He liked sudden attacks now?
“I will explain to you when I get back home.” Jian Sangyu hung up the cell-phone, washed her face, got changed and then drove home in the car that had stayed in the Parking Lot for more than one month.
Jian Sangyu kept thinking about how she should explain to Gu Chen about her being absent from home for more than one month. What was more, the traffic jam she often ran into didn’t happen today, and before Jian Sangyu was able to think of a way to confront Gu Chen, she had already arrived downstairs.
Jian Sangyu scratched her head and sighed constantly as she was sitting in the car. She almost showed an expression of bitterness on her face.
As the cell-phone vibrated in her pocket, Jian Sangyu took it out and found a text from Gu Chen.
‘Come to the door within five minutes.’
“Buddha!” Jian Sangyu climbed out of the car in a hurry, pressed the button of the elevator for upstairs without daring to make any more delays. Was that guy watching her from upstairs so he saw her car coming into the underground parking lot?
Jian Sangyu arrived two minutes later than what Gu Chen had given her. The door was open and the light from inside gave a portion of brightness to the outside.
Jian Sangyu craned her neck and sneaked a glance inside, only to find Gu Chen smoking as he was sitting in the living room. Her shoulders shivered, and then she tiptoed into the room in slow steps.
“Where have you been?” As Gu Chen’s voice arose in front of her and sounded so obviously formidable, Jian Sangyu stopped in front of the table and sneaked a peak at him. Unexpectedly, however, he looked so scarily intimidating and she was caught peeking red-handed.
“I will explain!” Jian Sangyu swallowed hard. “You told me to find a job right? The company is quite far away from home, and I would be late because of the traffic jams, so I applied to move into the dorm at the company.”
Jian Sangyu found that she had made such a perfect explanation without any fraud. After all, she was living in the staff dorm provided by the company.
Seeing Jian Sangyu’s serious and sincere face and her true explanation, Gu Chen spent a longer moment upon trying to figure out if she was telling the truth. After all, he had witnessed how Jian Sangyu could lie and how she could put on a false show.
“Where are you working?” Gu Chen asked.
“I am working with Mina’s cousin. I will be a member of Sis Ting’s team.” Jian Sangyu smiled gently. She was thinking that Gu Chen might not have a clue of who Sis Ting is and that he would not possibly know what Zhong Yanting was doing for profession either!
“Something about art?” Gu Chen didn’t quite remember what Zhong Yanting had for profession. But as far as he could remember, that name rang a bell and he must have met her before.
“Yes.” Jian Sangyu nodded.
Acting was also a kind of art! That was not deniable.
Gu Chen didn’t know much about art, but that didn’t mean that he objected to art. Seeing that Jian Sangyu could find a job she fancied within such a short time, Gu Chen didn’t ask anything more.
He could tell that Jian Sangyu was being sincere when she talked about her work. She enjoyed whatever she was doing with.
“Why didn’t you answer Jiang Xing’s call?” Gu Chen said but changed the question instantly. “Why didn’t you answer any calls?”
