Chapter 56: You Promised me you Wouldn’t do Anything to her
Jin Jing really didn’t intend on coming here. But to Mu Yun Fan, that wasn’t the case.
“Don’t look at me like that. I don’t want to see that person anymore than you.” Jin Jing glared at the person beside her and then dragged him into the coffee shop across from Feng Yang.
Sitting by the window, she ordered two cups of coffee. The two of them had exactly the same movements as they both stared out of the window, pondering on their own thoughts.
Gu Xiao Xiao originally wanted to overtime today, but because of Chu Xiao Xi’s phone call, she hastily came downstairs.
Due to the issue with the painting, Chu Xiao Xi hasn’t slept well or ate well the past several days. Today, everything was finally resolved so she wanted to take Gu Xiao Xiao to eat a great meal before doing anything else!
The wind outside was strong. The moment Gu Xiao Xiao left the front door, her hair turned into a mess; her black hair tussled in the wind.
Gu Xiao Xiao messily combed through her hair and quickly put it in a bun. Her delicate face revealed a relaxed expression as she straightened her clothes and headed to the pedestrian crosswalk.
The phone in her pocket rang. Gu Xiao Xiao looked at the number on it and took a few steps back. She picked up her phone.
Mu Yun Fan was watching her from afar and saw how sweetly she smiled after she picked up the phone. He couldn’t help but remember what Chu Xiao Xi had told him before.
Did Gu Xiao Xiao really get a boyfriend? Is he the one calling her right now?
Just as Mu Yun Fan pondered, Jin Jing sitting across from him stood up suddenly.
“Where are you going?”
The moment Jin Jing walked past Mu Yun Fan, he grabbed her hand.
“I’m going to say hi. After all, Xiao Xiao and I are roommates. We haven’t seen each other for so long and I actually miss her. I have some time right now so I should call her over and we can chat a little. What do you say?” Jin Jing suggested while smiling and looking down at Mu Yun Fan.
Mu Yun Fan tightened his fists in secret. The hand with which he grabbed Jin Jing also didn’t loosen its grasp.
“You promised me you wouldn’t do anything to her,” Mu Yun Fan said after a pause.
“Heh.” Jin Jing laughed and coldness appeared in her eyes, “Before you talk about something like this with me, you better delete all those pictures from your laptop! Mu Yun Fan, this is my last warning. If I find you keeping anything related to Gu Xiao Xiao, then I swear something may happen to her.”
Mu Yun Fan had a few encrypted folders in his laptop, all of which were filled with Gu Xiao Xiao’s photos. Many of which were taken in secret by Mu Yun Fan.
There were pictures of Gu Xiao Xiao reading in the classroom, smiling on a grass field, kneeling in a park feeding strays, lying on top of Mu Yun Fan’s legs and sleeping peacefully.
Jin Jing cannot even remember how she felt when she opened that folder. But thinking about it right now infuriated her.
As Jin Jing and Mu Yun Fan continued to argue, Gu Xiao Xiao had already hung up the phone, crossed the street, and disappeared amongst the crowd. By the time Jin Jing looked back, she was long gone.
“This is boring. She’s gone.” Jin Jing pulled her hand away, picked up her bag and left the coffee shop. She walked on for a long while before she realized Mu Yun Fan had no intention of following her.
Standing where she was, Jin Jing bit her lips, feeling complex.
Whatever you cannot get is always the best. That statement is extremely correct.
Jin Jing wasn’t sure if Mu Yun Fan loved her. But Jin Jing was certain that she very much loved Mu Yun Fan.
